You know how Czech and Bruiser say that Dusty Baker will never get rid of Jose Macias or Neifi Perez? It's the same with Andy Reid never getting rid of Reno Mahe... 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2005 Fucking Iggles... Ryan Moats was averaging almost 11 yards a carry. So who's on the field the majority of overtime? Reno fucking Mahe. Reid apparently has no idea what a good running back looks like. None whatsoever.

Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted December 12, 2005 ESPN really blowing Favre. Big suprise. An immortal? OK. To be fair, what other draw does this game have? The 4-8 Lions at the 2-10 Packers? Please. Despite the pointlessness of the game, the Pack and Lions are putting on a pretty good game, 13-13 with Favre running the two minute drill. I know I should kind of cheer for the Pack to lose today, since that'll give `em a better draft slot, but I still can't stand them losing, especially in the ways they often seem to this year. LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2005 I don't care what anyone says, Bret Favre is a selfish, selfserving prick. God forbid Aaron Rodgers get some playing time, on a 2--10 team going absolutely nowhere. I'm not even saying for the dick not to start, because that would end his beloved streak, but at least let the kid get some reps out there and some playing time. Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2005 I'm convinced if Joe Theisman was a head coach in the NFL, his offense wouldn't be allowed to move the ball down the field.
mike546 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2005 Yea, honestly, you have 3 timeouts, and the ball at the 20 with a minute left. And Theisman thinks you should run the clock out. idiot.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2005 Okay now I'll check out my predictions and see how I did today: Oakland at NY Jets. Jobber matchup here, who knows. I'll go with Oakland by 4 since the Jets seem even more hopeless. (Jets actually won pretty easy, man is Oakland THAT bad? 0 for 1) Houston at Tennessee. Another crap game. Titans are still better than the Texans though I'd think, so they'll win here by 7. (Titans did end up winning the "two mules fighting for a turnip" game. 1 for 2) Chicago at Pittsburgh. I asked last week who needed it more between the Steelers and Bengals, and said Steelers (Bengals won). That said, I can't see Chicago winning here. Pittsburgh by 3 in a man's game. (Pretty much nailed this one, Steelers covered and then some. 2 for 3) New England at Buffalo. I'll go with a mild upset here. Bills played the Pats tough in NE and should have won, I think they will here by about 3. (Ok I was WAY wrong on this one...I keep thinking the Bills are tough at home for some reason. 2 for 4) Cleveland at Cincinnati. Assbeating. Bengals by 21. (Had the result right, but just barely. 3 for 5) St. Louis at Minnesota. Tough one to call. The Vikings are getting by on smoke and mirrors, and will likely continue to do so here by 6 or so. (Vikes won again, but not smoke and mirrors today. 4 for 6) Indianapolis at Jacksonville. Yeah I know the Jags played the Colts tough in Indy, but without Leftwich I can't see them scoring over 20 on the Colts and can't see any way they could match that defensive effort and hold the Colts to 10 again. Colts by 10, and secure the division and maybe home field? (Nailed the shit out of this one, not really as close as the final score. 5 for 7) Tampa Bay at Carolina. Panthers beat Chris Simms' ass in Tampa, why shouldn't they here as well? Carolina by 14. (Tampa shocked me today, great effort. 5 for 8) 4:05 San Francisco at Seattle. Seahawks struggled with the hapless Niners recently, but not here. Seattle by 17. (Bitchslap by more than I figured. 6 for 9) Washington at Arizona. Cardinals can be tough at home, but the Skins should pull out a fairly tough win by about 7. (Got this one fairly close, tough win for the Skins. 7 for 10) NY Giants at Philadelphia. After that 42-0 embarrassment I think the Eagles have to be just about done. Giants by 14. (Okay so they weren't done, but they still lost in OT. 8 for 11) 4:15 Kansas City at Dallas. Most interesting game of the day in my view. Both teams here need the win desperately, but Dallas needs it even more and they are at home so I'll take Dallas by 5. (Great game today and I got it within 2 points. 9 for 12) Miami at San Diego. SD in another beatdown by about 21. (This one blew my mind, how the hell could the Chargers lose to fucking MIAMI at home??? 9 for 13) Baltimore at Denver. Denver should get back on track here at home, win by 10. (Denver wins, but are they really back on track after winning that shitty 12-10 epic? 10 for 14) 8:30 Detroit at Green Bay. Surely the Packers will beat someone, right? GB by 7. (Pack pulled it out in OT. 11 for 15) 11 for 15, did pretty well if it just means picking the winners. The Miami and TB wins baffled me though.

God forbid Aaron Rodgers get some playing time, on a 2--10 team going absolutely nowhere. I'm not even saying for the dick not to start, because that would end his beloved streak, but at least let the kid get some reps out there and some playing time. God forbid Aaron Rodgers isn't as good as what was reported to be, being the reason why the Packers have been scouting Matt Leinart and might not be picking up the option on Rodgers' contract next season. In other words, a first round pick completely wasted, just like I though it would. And you're saying that as if it was Favre's decision who plays or not. How many other starting veterans on other teams with similar records (or hell, any team that's not going anywhere at this point) are still playing? What's the point of Steve "Human Injury Report" McNair slinging around deep balls for the Titans? Or anyone on the Texans' o-line, for that matter (their backups can't possibly be any worse, can they?). Call "Bret" Favre a selfish prick or whatever you want, I don't care. Just don't use any idiotic reasoning like that. Plenty of other players on teams not going anywhere, including the Packers, are still starting without giving way to rookies for reps and playing time. Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted December 12, 2005 The Bears punt returners are a fucking embarassment to football. They have muffed or fumbled LITERALLY TWENTY FIVE PERCENT of the punts that they have touched this season. That's pathetic. If this team is going to be the kind that makes their opponent punt a lot, they need to capitalize with good returns. Especially with a very weak offense. All the Bears really need are a couple of tall young guys with good hands who are really fuckin' fast and squirmy. All of the random route running skills and things aren't nearly as important as getting some kids with good hands that can go like hell for YAC. Muhammad's a wonderful receiver, but he's not burning anybody. A viable deep threat would do wonders for their running game. Bobby Wade indeed.
Special K 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2005 I almost feel a bit awkward defending them when someone like Special K... should be Well, I love the 'Hawks, and think that they were almost this good last season, they just lost the lucky games instead of won them. That being said, I recognize they have to win one, just one, playoff game before we can definitively call them the best team in their conference. I personally think they're going to the Super Bowl, barring last minute injury. Man, I wonder if the Raiders are going to start Collins next week. They won't win a single game with Tui. I shake my head every time Brandon Jacobs comes on the field. Tiki Barber was the very best RB in red-zone percentage last year. Better than Priest. Better than LJ. Better than any purported goal-line back. Tiki's such a great player, that the Giants owe so much of their success to. Pisses me off.
Robert 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2005 Muhammad went to the wrong team. He should've stayed with Carolina, and he would've been a perfect second to Steve Smith. Now, Smith is getting doubled on every play now. The Bear's just got smacked around today, and I was suprised. I'm never going to a fucking night game in Green Bay, ever. EDIT: Jesus fucking christ, Brian Urlacher got ran over by Bettis on a TD run. Stuart Scott should be beat with a blunt stick.
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2005 Yeah but when all is said and done I don't think the Pats will be remembered as one of the absolute all time teams, and it's mainly due to winning all sorts of boring 17-14 type games. I mean they won't ever be up there with the 49ers or the Cowboys, who just put assbeatings on teams (55-10 over Denver for the Niners, 52-17 for the Cowboys over Buffalo). Call me crazy but I think the Pats' destiny is to be the NFL version of the 1988-90 Detroit Pistons. While I agree that the Pats won't be remembered as an all-time great, I would like to point out that I can think of a team whose opponents combined record for the year was over 50 games below .500 & won their three playoff games by 7 points or less, and is still considered the greatest of all time. Yes, I'm talking about the vaunted '72 Dolphins, who beat a bunch of shitty teams in the regular season and then barely won in the playoffs, but is still considered the greatest season of all time. I don't see why revisionist history would be so kind to them if the Pats are going to be downgraded because they won 'boring' games.
