Anyone know where Harry Potter stands compared to the first three films? It's at 244 domestic, but I know it's done big business overseas as well.

It's about to pass Azkaban, is 17 mil behind Chamber, and probably won't pass the first one.

Just friends was surprisingly funny and Anna Faris actually looked hot. It's not hilarious but it has enough moments to make it worth a matinee or a cheapy theater check.

Trying to read Prisoners of Azkaban before I see Goblet of Fire.

 

I need see Walk the Line. I'm glad it's doing so well. Johnny Cash is the shit. I wish one of these biopics would come out when the musician was still alive, so they could bask in the adulation a little bit.

 

 

EDIT: And to reiterate something I said in another thread, if you liked 'Walk the Line' I highly reccomend the "Johnny Cash in San Quentin" concert video.

Saw another preview for "The New World".

Is that crap movie EVER coming out? I've been seeing previews for more than a year now.

I saw Narnia Friday night with a few friends and I was impressed.

 

I had been looking forward to it for a long time, as I have memories of greatly enjoying the animated movie when I was a kid.

 

The children play their roles well, and communicate very well with all of the animated creatures.

 

The movie drags in some places, and you can't help but make Team America jokes at some parts, especially when the children learn to use their weapons.

 

However, the war scene is just about as good as it can be for a PG movie. We are talking about griffons flying around and dropping boulders on ogors.

 

It was a good two and a half hours.

I saw Narnia last night and I thought it was really good. I read the books too long ago to remember anything much beyond the first one but I do remember liking them. My friend couldn't get over the scence where he felt Tumnus date raped Emily in his house. That was pretty much all he focused on for the whole movie

 

I swear "Cars" has also had previews out for over a year.
