Has anybody here on tsm put in an application for the wwe tryouts? If so did anybody get excepted? Or can any of the UK tsmers that might of went give us an idea of what those tryouts were like? I just put in my application for the ones in Pittsburgh, but haven't heard back yet, and Kurt Angle's running the tryout, so I would guess it'll be pretty intense.

 

FYI- If you still want to apply, hurry up, the deadline for Pittsburgh and Buffalo is tomorrow, 12/16, and 2/03 for the Nassua one. Here's the link- http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/tryouts

Ouch porter. That's not cool :P

 

I wonder if the tryouts are open to observation. I'd love to just stop by and watch, be interesting to see how they handle it. :P Maybe if I con them into thinking I'm with the local media or something :)

They won't accept girls who wants to be wrestlers unless they were real hot and they thought it was possible to turn her into a diva.

 

 

That's why I said that wasn't cool...I don't know what Amy ace looks like, so it was kinda you saying amy ace isn't real hot...which isn't the nicest thing to say.

 

But hey, who knows.

 

The girls they show on their website that they already looked at in florida, none of them are insanely hot...but definitely good enough looking as to be molded into their diva image.

I know I'm playing into the chauvinism of professional wrestling, but unless you're a knockout, which I'm sorry if I'm incorrect but that I suspect Amy isn't, then you won't get in. They are looking for males to fill out Deep South. If they really were looking for girls, they'd have done the Diva Search again, which they probably will.

I'm dreading the diva search. Christy is gone (I never liked her anyway) and what's her name that won this year is less than worthless... Maria is the best thing to come of the diva search, and she didn't even win.

Yeah, becuase most of the "WWE Divas" are knockouts.

 

Besides, why do you suspect she isn't hot?

WWE's definition of a knockout varies differently than mine or other people's. It mainly centers around the... bosomly region.

 

MisawaGQ- Melina got in via UPW or something like that, if I recall correctly. And she is sleeping with Nitro, if you really need to know...

I find Melina to be hot. Even moreso compared to the rest of the wwe women (Stacy Keibler being the only one I truly find gorgeous, she's got a unique look and this coming from a guy that usually hates super-skinny girls)

 

 

She has a nice figure, her face isn't exactly awesome and I'm sure fairly plain without makeup...but most women aren't supermodels, so I prefer women that actually look...you know -attainable- :)

 

I'm a realist :)

My intention wasn't to be a chauvinistic asshole, but to be realistic about things...

 

 

Well look at it like this, 99% of the guys that go aren't going to be what they're looking for either.

 

I could show up and be laughed at as a 240 lb 5'10" VERY average looking guy with bad knees and no for a fact I'd have no chance. Now I'd make a GREAT commentator/interviewer because i have an awesome speaking/radio voice...but I somehow doubt they're looking for that :)

 

 

They want big (naturally so), tall, uniquely looking guys with some athletic talent. Emphasis on big and tall for sure. That's what you really need.

 

Big boobs or big muscles.

I did the same thing over on Sherdog forums earlier this year Porter. Just leave her be and let her dream her dream for now. If she gets rejected but a former Penthouse Pet or Playboy Playmate gets through then she'll have learned the hard way. Unless of course she's willing to polish Vinny Mac's genetic jackhammer then she may have a better chance.

Oh of course. Amy, don't let me stop you. Go for your dream. I would suggest if you got rejected, for you to try to work the indies like Shimmer or whatever, maybe RoH or TNA, and hopefully the WWE looks at you and likes what they see and you get in by another means.

Amy's actually a very good amateur wrestler from what I have heard. However given Shelton Benjamin's current treatment and Charlie Haas's release those kind of credentials aren't actually going to mean that much. Add in the fact several women have left the company voluntarily or been dismissed in recent times, generally after they've posed in Plyaboy, and I don't think a WWE career for any woman is very secure.

I still think the best route to get in the WWE is to pack up and head for OVW on your own dime. A lot of guys end up getting developmental deals that way even though they're not WWE's ideal prospects due to their lack of size. May take 2-3 years down there but it seems to happen for most of them eventually, even if you get stuck with a ridiclous gimmick.

Your right, a woman with my amatuer wrestling credentials has never been in the pro wrestling business before, thats my main attribute. But anyways, is there anybody out there who actually has an answer to my original questions? This thread isn't supposed to be about me. But if you must know I'm not all that hot, but I can actually wrestle! What a novel idea for a woman!

Newsflash: Lots of women aren't all that hot looking without makeup on.

 

As for AmyAce, I have no idea what the tryouts are like and haven't seen anyone on this board post about going to them. I think she should go though..what's there to lose?

Not too make this about AmyAce but:

 

If you have weight problems, I'm sure the WWE can cure those. An ugly face doesn't really matter (no offense intended) and a dumpy body can be dealt with.

 

Look at some of the women who have been in WWE. Chyna, Asia, Molly Holly, etc. Sure, a lot of the not-so-good looking women didn't last too long, but a lot of the good looking women didn't last either. The turnover rate for female wrestlers seems very high regardless of looks.

 

Women who look good are more replaceable than women that can wrestle. That's why Christy was released. There are a million Christys in the US.

Random guy- no I don't have any weight probelms. Being a wrestler I've learned how to cut, gain, and stay on weight pretty much like second nature, so I don't think that issue will ever plague me.
