cawthon777 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 How hard to find is an original copy of this show? I only ask because Amazon has no DVD copies and - last I checked - only one VHS (which I ordered yesterday).
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 I used to see it at Canadian Blockbuster stores in the area, but the 2002 stuff has been phased out by 2004/2005 stuff. However, it might be worth noting that even in 2002, I had to buy the VHS copy because I could not find the DVD (though I did shortly AFTER picking it up on VHS already). This might be because WWE / Koch (Canada) had different distribution priorities at the time though (I believe I noted at the time that while Vengeance could only be found on VHS, some Diva thing was already out on DVD). BifEverchad 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 I picked it up on DVD at a Wal-Mart about 2 years ago now. It was only $9.99 too. Also, I'm pretty sure there's still a order listing in the store catelogue where I work (MusicWorld).
Guest J0bber Report post Posted January 1, 2006 I bought it on eBay about two years ago. It was the Canadian KOCH dvd version. I think this was a DVD that you could only buy on Shopzone if you lived in the US along with Judgment Day 2002. I remember Shopzone reducing both DVDs to around 10 bucks right before they discontinued them.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 At the time it was released, it was a WWE.com exclusive (a really short lived experiment). That'd explain why its hard to find.
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 I had all kinds of trouble finding VHSs of Vengeance 2002 and Judgment Day 2002. In fact, I never did find either. Yet, everywhere I look, there looks to be an overstock on King of the Ring 2002 VHSs.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2006 I totally forgot about the "Only at Shopzone" deal with Judgment Day and Vengeance 2002. Also of note, I believe Unforgiven 2002 was a FYE exclusive, albeit only for a few months.

JJMc 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2006 Yeah, I remember thinking how stupid that was at the time. I think that they thought they were releasing too many DVDs, but then quickly realized that there was too much cash to be made.

I think that's when I got it too, on one of my treks to Michigan. Of course these days the delay in getting a DVD to Canada is very short / non-existent (seems to be about 2 weeks for most PPVs, and usually 1 week or no delay in the non-PPV DVDs) plus I've embraced buying things online. Was it the last WWF Wrestlemania? no x-8 was, X-7 is considered by many to be one of the greatest manias of all time, the original dvd is out of print due to the wwf logo and name. So to find a copy would be a rare thing.

All the music remains intact. In fact, "My Way" is the main theme for the whole DVD. I think the only edit is when Eddie slipped either on the ramo or the apron (my memory is fuzzy, but I saw this live so it happened.)

Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 Undertaker's "Rollin" was also kept intact on the original WM 17 DVD. E-Bay would be your best bet to get Vengeance 2002, good PPV overall.
