Of course I forgot to add that as an Eagles fan, if I end up at Pitt next year if the Steelers win the Super Bowl I'm likely to hear it from everyone there.

When it comes to Football, there's no real rivalry (different conferences and all).

What pisses me off about Philly is the fact you bastards produced Ed Rendell and will probably re-elect that piece of shit to another term as guv.

He's too busy preparing for the Eagles post-game show to actually run the state...

Could be worse, you could be dealing with the governors we have here in NJ.

Rant must have the same feeling right now as I did last January against Atlanta.

Except I feel like the Seahawks need to go out and gangrape someone's mom to get any thoughts of them being competitive out of some people.

But good feelings abound.

That was wonderful. Fuck every sports analyst on the planet.

EDIT: Except Bill Simmons. Thanks, man.

And Dama, if you don't know why the Seahawks bore you, they just do, why is the hate so pronounced? Saying "I hate the Seahawks, they suck, and they're boring" over and over don't make it true.

And according to this thread, Shaun Alexander has no personality, AND is arrogant. I think it's called being humble. We can't all be Chad Johnson.

In celebration, a couple pictures of Grant Winstrom.

I'm happy for Shaun Alexander and Mike Holmgren. Mike's got the monkey off his back, and it's nice to see Shaun get to the big game. For once, we have two teams with great offenses (as a whole, not one individual player) in the Big Game. And yeah, Lofa Tatupu. Remember where he came from. I won't even bitch about both teams I wanted to win losing today, and saying the game's gonna suck, or at least I can hope for someone to win, I'm happy for both teams that got there.

Also, I'm glad that the teams with one great individual player aren't going to the Super Bowl anymore. It's the best teams that have been getting there lately.

Alexander needs to come out already and reveal that he's the third Barber twin

They are cousins after all.

Did you see his interview (I think it was on PTI) where he relayed a story from last year's Pro Bowl? If not, he said a fan came up to him and said

Fan: "Hey, Tiki can I get an autograph?"

Alexander responds, "I'm not Tiki."

Fan: "Oh, I'm sorry Ronde! I'm sure you get that a lot."

Poor bastard nearly led the league in rushing that year and people still didn't know who he was.

There are a lot of perfect teeth in those pictures.

Unlike Paul Allen's. Dude, you're a billionaire. You look like you gargle Butterfingers for breakfast, then smoke a pack of Mavericks. Whiten that shit.

Did anyone watch the post-game celebration? Probably not. Bradshaw seemed completely and utterly bombed out of his mind.

Hey, quit trolling Dama.

He bitches about my favorite team in every football thread, then can't back it up.

That's another reason that I'm glad both of these teams made it to the Super Bowl. No big name player for ESPN to blow the two weeks before the game.

Dama rooted for Texas and now he roots for Pittsburgh?

He should kill himself

I don't see how Pitsburgh and Philly are really rivals in the NFL unless you are actually from one of the two cities. I mean, I'm a fan of the Dallas Cowboys but I couldn't care less about the Houston Texans, and I'd definitely root for them if they were in the Super Bowl (hah!) against a team like the Iggles or the Deadskins. On the other hand I've talked to other Cowboys fans who hate the Texans because they are also from Texas and they beat Dallas in the first-ever game between those teams.

They have been blowing Bettis since the start of the playoffs and Big Ben will have Sean Salisbury on his knees by monday afternoon.

Also, someone on the Seahawks will say or do something stupid and make himself a name.

Despite the fact that, you know, Carolina is losing by 27 right now. THERE ARE 52 OTHER FUCKING PLAYERS ON THE PANTHERS, DAMMIT.

Someone should have told Jake Delhomme. Cause it seemed like he was only looking to throw the ball to Smith the whole game. Even though Smith had the whole fucking Seahawk secondary covering him every throw.

You would have thought at the half maybe Fox would have told Jake, "maybe you should look to someone else to throw the ball?"

Not, "Covered? Who cares! Fire that fucker in there!"

Both title games sucked. Again. Two years in a row, two beatdowns.

Remember when I said awhile back that when Bad Jake Delhomme shows up, you just see him chucking it downfield into stupid interceptions?

Yeah, this was vintage Bad Jake. I know that Keary Colbert and Drew Carter aren't exactly Jerry Rice and Steve Largent, but when there are three or four defenders on Smith for most of the day, you really have to checkdown and consider other options. Delhomme has an arm, but he couldn't thread the needle against a Seattle defense that looked that they were playing in fast forward.

So it's not true that I like them? Thanks for telling me what I think.

I don't like them. I find them boring. I hate watching them. It's that simple. When they come on the TV I find myself wanting to change the channel. That's as good of a reason as any to not like a team.

Just because you root for a team in a paticular game doesn't mean you're a fan of the team. You guys need to understand that.

And so b/c they're your favorite team I'm not allowed to dislike them? That doesn't make a lot of sense.

Eh, not exactly. I expect to see a TON of Bettis over the next two weeks, as he's not only symbolic of the Steelers franchise in the 90's, but he's a hometown guy from Detroit and the media just eats up stuff like that (as we've already seen from the Conference Championship coverage).

Other than that, though, Pittsburgh/Seattle provides such a good matchup that ESPN might actually have to focus on the game, which could prove to be a terrifying experience.

Dama, I don't think that he's telling you that you can't dislike them. I think he's just looking for reasons to back up your opinion.

You say that they're boring; what about them is boring to you. Is it their playcalling? The lack of a brash superstar? Their uniforms? How drab the city & stadium look on TV? What bores you, in effect.

I wonder what ESPN is going to do to make Seattle sound interesting. I'm thinking 1000 references to how much it rains in Seattle. And Starbucks came from there. And it's on the west coast, which is like foreign land.

Don't forget the countless "Sleepless in..." jokes and Bill Gates references.
