Downhome Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Moving down the road February 6, 2006 The Road to WrestleMania continues as RAW rolls into Atlanta tonight. A tournament will be held to determine the No. 1 contender for the WWE Championship, and it will begin on RAW. The opening round of The Road to WrestleMania Tournament, which will feature four matches, will be completed by the time RAW goes off the air. In first round action, Rob Van Dam will take on Carlito. Carlito aggravated RVD's knee injury on the Cabana back in June, which set Mr. Monday Night back another six months. Now that he's back, RVD not only has the WWE Championship on his mind, but also some revenge. Chris Masters, along with Carlito, was responsible for eliminating Kane from the New Year's Revolution Elimination Chamber. Then, last week the Big Red Machine was unable to break the Master Lock. Will Kane have better luck this week as he takes on Chris Masters in another first-round matchup? The history between Ric Flair and Triple H is well-documented...and very personal. They have been the best of friends and the worst of enemies. And they will get to write another chapter to their rivalry in the first round of the tournament. Also in the first round, Shawn Michaels will take on Big Show. HBK already has a lot on his mind with Mr. McMahon, and now his son Shane. The Showstopper will need to focus all of his attention on Big Show if he hopes to advance in the tournament. Last week, Edge defeated John Cena by disqualification when Lita hit the Rated R Superstar with the WWE Championship while Cena had him set up for the F-U. While Edge won the match, the gold did not change hands, leaving the Rated R Superstar still a challenger. On top of all of this, Edge and Lita left the arena separately. How will all of this impact their relationship? Also last week, Shane McMahon struck again, nailing Shawn Michaels with a chair as Mr. McMahon looked on. How will HBK react to this latest setback in his standoff with the WWE Chairman? Plus, the tensions between Trish Stratus, Ashley and Mickie James continue to rise. How will Ashley and Trish react to Mickie’s actions during her celebration for the Women’s Champion last week? Tune into RAW tonight at 9/8 CT on the USA Network to see what happens.
razazteca Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 3 of the 4 matches will have run-ins or DQs.
Downhome Posted February 7, 2006 Author Report Posted February 7, 2006 Uh oh, sorry for not being able to put the subtitle in spoiler tags.

First round tonight has RVD vs Carlito, Kane vs. Chris Masters, HHH vs. Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels vs. Big Show, with HHH getting a title shot at John Cena when it's over.

Is it just me, or is it ever since the Wrestlemania Ladder Fiasco, has Meltzer been getting dumber and dumber?
SuperJerk Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 I think you're thinking of the Backlash Ladder Match fiasco. You know, if I thought there was a chance in hell of any of these matches tonight actually being good, I might tune in.
haws bah gawd Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 When HHH wins this tournament, does any of you think he may try to push for a Cena heel turn and give himself another run as a face? The crowds are about 50/50 on HHH at the moment, and the majority of them boo Cena. Think the crowds will buy it?

Triple H needs to prove to the world the only thing wrong with Cena is that Angle didn't know how to properly play a heel.
Downhome Posted February 7, 2006 Author Report Posted February 7, 2006 It doesn't matter if they do the double turn or not - at Wrestlemania, HHH will be the face and Cena will be the heel, just because of the fans.

All the more reason to boo Cena.

C Dubya 04 Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 This actually is getting me excited for Mania. That was a great package.
C Dubya 04 Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 They need to get this shit in High Def. I'm done with regular tv.
Downhome Posted February 7, 2006 Author Report Posted February 7, 2006 Well, the show starts with a huge thumbs up from me.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Go Daddy went through 13 commercials before they were able to get one approved. They even had one that replaced Candice with a Cake and that was rejected.
boobshaw Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 I'm now convinced (although not complaining) that Lita only owns two shirts. Her Rated R Superstar shirt, and the lovely number she is wearing tonight.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Is that the SNME show? I think next week RAW is booted for the Dog Show..
chaosrage Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Fuck off Edge. Put the camera back on Maria.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Maria vs Lita...tonight..I guess.
BUTT Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Now comes 40 instances of people posting "DUGGAN!"
yankovic fan Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
razazteca Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Fuck off Edge. Put the camera back on Maria. She needs to be a HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO like Lita and show more titty cleavage.
boobshaw Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 I almost thought we were going to have a nice solid interview segment with no shennanigans. Then I remembered I was watching WWE.
