Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2006 The govt. probably knew "something" was up, but they didn't know what that "something" was. Why do we always seem to have this discussion every 6 months. It is so fucking stupid... BUTT out, this is important to us. If you don't like it, don't post about it. Better yet, start a thread about your own country's change since that day. Snuffbox, people for the most part seem to have unfortunately picked up the way that the President pronounces not only "terror" but "nuclear" as well. I can only hope that hearing another person after 2008 say the words properly will erase this ugly trend.
snuffbox 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2006 Its strange because isn't 'terr-uh' kind of a Northeast/NYC accent? And Bush/Cheney are playdoll cowboys. Its sad that its 2006 and people would actually find intentional mispronunciation of words to be folksy and cute. Equally sad is that a large amount of Americans actually mimic the way these words are said.

snuffbox 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2006 I think this is a fair thread. It wasnt deseigned for just trolling and idiocy...there is room for reasonable discussion/debate here. If people dont want to discuss the possibility that the almighty government might not be wholly/holy honest then they shouldnt visit this particular thread. I give the gov't the benefit of the doubt on this case personally, but there clearly are some strange facets to the story. I also thought it was ridiculous to think liberals (terrorists) have a monolopy on conspiracy theories...considering all the Clinton stuff that that has been long bandied about. snuffbox 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2006 And the fact that people wil mispronounce words just to sound like the people they see on TV kind of illuminates the problem of people believing everything that they are told by this (and other) administrations. snuffbox 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2006 And it makes sense for Bill O Reilley because hes from Jersey (although his accent is only thick like that on one word...terr-uh). But people from the Midwest, Texas, Wyoming, etc dont normally use that accent...but theyve followed the leader on this word. Its really weird and kinda sad. CheesalaIsGood 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2006 http://msnbc.msn.com/id/12818225/ Updated: 3:55 p.m. ET May 16, 2006 WASHINGTON - The Pentagon on Tuesday released the first video images of American Airlines Flight 77 crashing into the military headquarters building and killing 189 people in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The images, recorded by Pentagon security cameras outside the building, were made public in response to a December 2004 Freedom of Information Act request by Judicial Watch, a public interest group. Some still images from the video had previously been leaked and publicly circulated, but this was the first official release. The airplane is a thin white blur on the video as it slams into the Pentagon at ground level. Almost instantly a white flash and a huge orange fireball appear on the video, followed by a tower of gray-black smoke. One of the videos shows a Pentagon police car driving in the direction of the impact point shortly after the plane hit. Story continues below ↓ advertisement Traveling at an estimated 350 mph, the hijacked American Airlines plane plowed into the southwest side of the Pentagon at 9:38 a.m. EDT, shortly after two other hijacked airlines were flown into the twin towers at the World Trade Center in New York. The attack set off fires in a portion of the Pentagon and killed 125 people inside, in addition to the 59 passengers and crew and the five men who hijacked the plane at Dulles International Airport. The Pentagon had previously refused to release the videos, saying they had been provided to the Justice Department as evidence in any criminal proceedings. “We fought hard to obtain this video because we felt that it was very important to complete the public record with respect to the terrorist attacks of September 11,” said Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch. Cheryl Irwin, a Pentagon spokeswoman, said families of the victims of the Pentagon attack were not consulted before the videos were released on the Pentagon’s Web site. Oh boy. Here we go. Guest Felonies! Report post Posted May 17, 2006 "terr-uh" is a Northeast pronunciation, for some reason. Bill O'Reilly says it that way all the time. Some parts of the south have non-rhotic speech, but I don't know that Texas is one of them. It's mainly Jawgia, Nawfick, and much of the Southeast, I think. Skywarp! 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 Of course, this won't shut the conspiracy theorists up. Nothing shuts those douchebags up. Sadly, it's not going to shut them up because the video released didn't put the issue to bed. If anything, it fueled the fire because we can't make out any "plane" in the video. There's a slender white flash, and then an explosion. People are already saying that this proves the "missle" theory.

NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2006 I think another main issue with the plane hitting pentagon theory is that the pilot would have to have been a very good and experienced pilot to maintain keeping the plane that close to the ground for that amount of time, if you look at the angle, it's doesn't look like it is coming down from the sky, it looks like it is coming straight in. Stephen Joseph 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2006 You do realize that I live a mile from the Pentagon right? Planes fly in VERY close to ground level ALL THE TIME in the Rosslyn/Pentagon area, because Reagan National Airport is less than 1 mile away from the Pentagon on the Potomac. There enough eyewitness reports of the plane hitting that there's no question that a plane hit the Pentagon. But if you want to beleive in a conspiracy, go right ahead. http://usinfo.state.gov/media/Archive/2005.../28-581634.html
Eclipse 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2006 I don't know what to believe anymore. Though I would love to see what pilot kept a plane THAT STRAIGHT and level at speeds of 350 MPH and over.
Guest Report post Posted May 19, 2006 To assume that a plane didn't hit the Pentagon would be to say that Al-Qaeda had no part in that attack. That in itself is a load of shit.

Any well trained pilot really. It's not that much different from a landing, you just don't put down the gear and that's that.

That is where the suspicion lies. Of course someone profressionaly trained could do it. There are also several eye witnesses that say bombs went off in the WTC several minutes after the planes hit, but of course THOSE PEOPLE don't know what they are talking about and should be discounted, right? Eye witnesses are not always a good source, and can be coerced rather easily ?
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2006 Living a mile from the Pentagon doesn't mean a goddamn thing. Don't try to sound like you know better just because you were 5,280 feet away from it. Ooh, big fuckin' deal. Doesn't do a fuckin' thing to disprove anything. The "new video" that was released is the same shit we've had for years anwyay. It doesn't do anything to shut up conspiracy theorists, and anyone who dismisses them just because they believe the spoon-fed official story is just as dumb as those who won't accept the official one either. Okay, to 2GOLD: The pilots were never interested in learning how to land, and that isn't just crazy talk, that's according to what the various suits have told us. I doubt that putting the landing gear out really affects the dynamics of flying at that speed at that altitude. And 909: That's a load of all-or-nothing bull. Use your brain and act like a goddamn individual human being. Al-Queda had something to do with it. THEY SAID THEY DID. Jesus, read. Or hey, pop in a tape of what happened. The one we didn't see is the Pentagon attack, and all we've got of that is a grainy image. OOH YOU DONE SHOWN ALL DEM MA'FUCKAZ WHO SAID IT WASN'T THOSE FUCKIN' AY-RABS Seriously guys, with all the horseshit we've heard, and been fed, and found out about these fuckers in charge, would this shit really, honestly surprise you? Honestly appraise the information we have, all of it. EDIT: Or maybe, to be more accurate, think about what information we still don't have.
