Guest Chumpstain Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 What exactly is the issue between these two again? Is this one of the patented Vince McMahon "feud with a guy for no real reason" feuds? Vince wanted Shawn to help him drag Bret Hart's name through the mud one more time. Shawn refused and had the temerity to tell Vince to grow up and move on. Vince was insulted by this and has since been making Shawn's life miserable. There's apparently some deeper overtones to it than just that, as Vince has taken it upon himself to try to corrupt Shawn and steer him away from his born-again Christian status. The promo on Raw shows that Vince is jealous and envious of Shawn's inner peace, something Vince will never have due to his corrupt and evil ways.
NoCalMike Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 What exactly is the issue between these two again? Is this one of the patented Vince McMahon "feud with a guy for no real reason" feuds? Basically, Vince McMahon honestly believes he should be on the card at WM. Yes, he really does believe he should be a wrestling match at Wrestlemania. HBK just happens to be a long time veteren, so Vince is using him to try to come off as a major heel again. I wish Vince would just let the Austin/McMahon era speak for itself, rather then trying to rehash it ever 18 Months or so.
AndrewTS Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Masters following the Bret HOF announcement. Odd choice, WWE.
ChrisMWaters Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Masters following the Bret HOF announcement. Odd choice, WWE. I can think of a connection. Bret, if he was in a match with Masters, would find a way to make him look like a Million Bucks in the ring.
Anakin Flair Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Is it me, or is RVD extremely rusty?
EdwardKnoxII Posted February 17, 2006 Author Report Posted February 17, 2006 Dude I haven't seen the rack used in a match in forever.
Hawk 34 Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Is it me, or is RVD extremely rusty? He looked fine against Carlito and the rumble, it's a total styles clash with Masters.
NYU Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 I've really been liking Van Dam's work since he came back. It doesn't feel like he's going through the motions week-after-week.
haws bah gawd Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 RVD is still rusty, but you would be too if you missed over a year of work at your job. I think he's coming along nicely. The crowd was beyond dead for the match though.
Boon Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 All things considered, that match wasn't as awful as it should have been.
EdwardKnoxII Posted February 17, 2006 Author Report Posted February 17, 2006 Is it me, or is RVD extremely rusty? He looked fine against Carlito and the rumble, it's a total styles clash with Masters. Right. And speaking of Carlito at first I wanted RVD to beat him quick and move on but, after seeing their match last Monday I think they had a fun little match and wish they would have a another one that lasts at least 20 minutes. If they let Carlito busts more moves I'll be a fan of his wrestling as I am of his character.
EdwardKnoxII Posted February 17, 2006 Author Report Posted February 17, 2006 This is so gonna be like Single White Female. heh
ChrisMWaters Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Oh, if only Victoria would turn psycho again...her and Mickie together...
Hawk 34 Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 I think I dated Mickie James before, or one of them.
Angle-plex Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 I hope Trish is watching right now.
Hawk 34 Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Obviously, Jack will be too stupid to think "just show her the tape that aired on national tv".
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 I fucking love this shit.
ChrisMWaters Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Obviously, Jack will be too stupid to think "just show her the tape that aired on national tv". He doesn't know about the "Ninja Cameramen"
Boon Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Obviously, Jack will be too stupid to think "just show her the tape that aired on national tv". He doesn't know about the "Ninja Cameramen" Who? There are no cameramen in the locker rooms!
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Is Edge actually carrying someone to a good match? And is that someone John Cena? Crazy.
Anakin Flair Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Nice catch. Didn't think he could pull it off.
AndrewTS Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Good finish, although it makes Edge look like a total whiny bitch to want to feud with Foley over this.
Hawk 34 Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Why didn't they have this match at Rumble? Even without Foley's involvement, it was still a much better match.
cabbageboy Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 The entire purpose of that 3 way next week is to put HHH over while keeping RVD strong. I was hoping they wouldn't just bury RVD again vs. HHH, which is probably what would have happened in a 1 on 1 match. Now HHH can beat the Big Show next week, Van Dam likely won't figure in the decision. Ok, I don't get this....how precisely did Foley cost Edge the title tonight? If anything Foley being bumped hurt Cena's pin attempt. Otherwise I didn't see how Foley screwed Edge.
AndrewTS Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Ok, I don't get this....how precisely did Foley cost Edge the title tonight? If anything Foley being bumped hurt Cena's pin attempt. Otherwise I didn't see how Foley screwed Edge. Yeah, if it were circumstantial (Foley missing an Edge attempted pinfall or something), it doesn't look so bad. As it is, it's going to be a massive stretch.
The Niggardly King Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Is Edge actually carrying someone to a good match? And is that someone John Cena? Crazy. From what I've seen since he came back from injury, Edge seems to get the best out of WWE's "golden boys."
