Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2006 Great Win for the Clippers, they needed this in the worst way. IMO it was the game of the season for them Elton Brand MVP!!MVP!!!
Just John 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2006 I think we should just call the Lakers "Kobe and Friends." There was a play tonight where 2 or 3 different guys missed a shot under the basket, then ball rolled out to Kobe who picked it up and nailed like a 30 ft shot. He's playing at the highest level in the NBA, yet they're just barely over .500... Think about what that says for everyone else on that "team." It's the AI effect times 10. Guest Report post Posted February 25, 2006 What friends? It's just Kobe. I'd also like to say that Kwame Brown is a waste of great physical talent. EDIT: That comment wasn't meant to be rude, if that's how it sounded.
Just John 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2006 What friends? It's just Kobe. I thought I'd be nice and at least acknowledge the other 10 or so guys in yellow/purple uniforms who run around the floor while Kobe's playing basketball.
Guest Report post Posted February 25, 2006 I'm shocked that Kobe can even make the team this good.

EDIT: That comment wasn't meant to be rude, if that's how it sounded. I agree. I didn't think Kwame would be even worse than Brian Grant was last year. They really need someone who could play the boards at that position, badly and for quite some time now. That's probably what killed the Lakers most against the Pistons (Karl Malone was there then). Guest Report post Posted February 25, 2006 Kwame just makes me throw books at my wall. Whenever he's on the court, I have to learn to move everything away from me. Most frustrating player ever. If he ever cared about the fucking game, he'd be ok. McGrady's Heartache? Houston Chronicle - 02/24 - 8:02 PM EST (AP Photo) Rockets forward Tracy McGrady will miss Friday's game against the Golden State Warriors after flying to North Carolina late Thursday after learning of the death of his fiancée's mother. The Rockets did not know whether he would join the team in time to play against the Magic in Orlando on Sunday. The Rockets are 0-13 without McGrady and have lost three other games that he was unable to complete. "We know how we have to play to win," Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy said. "We expect to win. We have great confidence if we play well, we will win." Can he get a break?

naiwf 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2006 Kobe wanted the "challenge" of winning without Shaq, so I feel absolutely no sympathy for him. I prefer to call the Lakers the Western Conference LeBrons, or you can make the Cavs the Eastern Conference Kobes if you prefer.

USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2006 Kobe didn't scare off Shaq. Playing for what he was worth at his age scared off Shaq. Yeah Kobe just pleaded with Buss to keep Shaq around, right?
Guest Report post Posted February 25, 2006 Buss had to pick one or the other. There was no way around it, and considering how Shaq's looked in Miami, they did the right thing. Shaq needs a sidekick just as Kobe does, the team would be in the same position regardless.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2006 Yeah Buss had to pick one or the other because they were getting along as well as two little kids fighting over an action figure. Had they co-existed better, I'm sure no choice would have had to be made. Though Kingofthe909, you follow the Lakers, so I trust your judgment on that one. Guest Report post Posted February 25, 2006 It was all about them both wanting to win on their own. The arguments were a backdrop. As we all know, no star player can win on their own. I just blame Kupchak's ineptitude to make a good trade as the reason that the Lakers suck. If he would have been comfortable with getting Nash, this never would have happened. Oh well, easy part of the schedule where the Lakers can look really good. I want them to play Dallas in the 1st round.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted February 26, 2006 Yeah, that'll probably ensure an "upset" (not really an upset if you've followed them throughout the years.. seems no matter how well the Mavs play, the Lakers can still beat em) and then maybe a nice matchup against the Clippers or something. Kobe didn't scare off Shaq. Playing for what he was worth at his age scared off Shaq. Hmm, you've seem to have changed your tune... As have a lot of other people here. Yeah Buss had to pick one or the other because they were getting along as well as two little kids fighting over an action figure. Had they co-existed better, I'm sure no choice would have had to be made. A choice would have had to have been made regardless because Shaq was demanding more money, and Kobe, Malone, Payton, and Phil Jackson all had expired contracts. Well Kobe actually only picked up the option on his, which turned out to be a smart business move, but I'm sure if Shaq hadn't demanded more money and/or a trade, maybe we would still be seeing them together in L.A.. naiwf 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2006 It was nice to see Gilbert Arenas drop 46 on the Knicks in just 3 quarters. 13 losses in our last 14, with the lone win being a 2 point victory over Toronto at home. Going even further back the Knicks have now lost 19 out of their last 21 *thumbs up*
