Our military makes almost nothing, well, E-5 and below. I made $12,000 for a full year of service in the Marine Corps. Kinda makes you feel unappreciated in a way. Sports stars, movie actors, they make millions of dollars, but they don't carry a M-16 on their shoulder guarding this country prepared to die if necessary.

They might have something in there for former WWE/World champions. That's the only reason I can think of that Kane, Big Show, and Randy Orton have first class tickets paid for.

 

 

I don't know about Randy, but if I were Kane or Big Show I'd insist on this stipulation. Can you imagine trying to fit one of their frames in a coach seat? Though it does look like you're correct on the former champion issue.

When did Big Show jump from WCW to WWE?

I thought when he jumped, he signed a huge long term deal with WWE...at least a 10 year deal?

Big Show debuted in the WWF in February 1999, but by November 1998, it was well known that he was not going to re-sign with WCW and was jumping to the WWF when his no-compete expired. Contracts in the Monday Night War era were written/modified so that even if your contract expired, you couldn't appear on opposition television (ECW didn't count) for at least 30 days.

 

So they had Diamond Dallas Page pretty much squash him at Starrcade 1998 and a week or two later on his final Nitro, they had the nWo turn on him and tear him apart and Eric Bischoff cut a burying promo on him while holding his unconscious head up to the camera.

The finish for that match was actually dependant on Show’s decision, as WCW still wasn’t sure until just before then if he was going. If Show had stuck around, he was going to win somehow, but if he was leaving, which he did, it was going to be a clean loss.

 

The deal for Show coming in to WWE was put together about a year before he jumped, but for obvious reasons it was kept very quiet.
