Guest burth179 Report post Posted March 27, 2006 If you don't know who is gonna win, it's all the same... It's not like I work for the WWE... It's just in good fan man, no need to drop F-bombs...

Guest burth179 Report post Posted March 27, 2006 I meant fun.. sorry... I am no redneck, I'm just a gambling fool! LOL! It's just to stir up conversation on what people think the odds really should be on this board, to see who people think is gonna win. That's all... Sorry if I pissed all you "smarks" off... I bet on hoops and football nearly every single day so a few dollars on Wrestlemania with my buddies to make it a little more interesting is nothing... Si82 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2006 WHO IN THEIR RIGHT FUCKING MIND WOULD BET ON A FAKE FUCKING SPORT?!?!?! Angry, angry young man. Anyway, a few years ago in the UK you could bet on who would be Champion at the end of 2001 and who would win the Royal Rumble match 2002.

NYU 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 RVD +180 Flair +250 Shelton +430 Lashley +600 Matt Hardy +1200 Finlay +1200 That's wrong. Flair should easily have the best odds.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 You used to be able to bet on the royal rumble, by picking a number for the winner(or who survived the latest) or who would last the longest/shortest or eliminate the most. Now, they pretty much tell you the winner's # before the match and you can pretty much already know who is the iron-man each year.

Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 WHO IN THEIR RIGHT FUCKING MIND WOULD BET ON A FAKE FUCKING SPORT?!?!?! People bet huge money on boxing. and reality tv as well, Survivor is scripted. WWE, isn't. WWE, just well who knows what it is they actually do but I don't think scripts is the right term to use.
Perfxion 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 Boxing might have a few matches that are "slightly" slanted to one person. But it is still a real sport. Survivor atleast isn't "booked" ahead of time. WWE is booking on the fly lately, but come on, who is going to bet on Cena winning the match against Triple H? If a term for what the WWE is currently doing booking wise: put all names on the wall and throw the shit on said wall to see what sticks.

It is just a game show.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 "who is going to bet on Cena winning the match against Triple H?" I am. I personally think Trips has much more to gain by having a great match with Cena SOMEHOW, a massive bladejob ensues, the crowd gets into it, and Cena retains and shocks the world. Will that happen? NO. But Triple H, IMO, believes it will. Plus, Cena/HHH is the main event...and it ain't gonna end with Triple H as champ, killing the crowd's memories, like in 2000. Trips will win it at Backlash, IMO, and regret the choice.

Prime Time Andrew Doyle 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 Flair wins MITB, gets the shot at the end on WM over a battered and bloodied HHH and wins, HHH gets the belt back at Backlash
Guest burth179 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 Taker probably should be a bigger fave than 9:1. It probably should be like 50:1 instead. Don't know if you can call Flair having a better chance than RVD, given the fact that a long term plan rumor is to have HHH face RVD at the next ECW PPV for the title (assuming H gets it at Backlash or at Mania.) All the onscreen buildup does lean you to Flair though, so who knows. I am actually thinking H may not win at Mania now and they'll wait til backlash, especially after last night ending of McMahon/Triple H dominating. Usually if you come out ahead on Monday you are jobbing on Sunday... Thank you all for the feedback...

Perfxion 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 Last I check; boxing, NBA, NFL/Superbowl/, MLB/Pete Rose, ect were all real sports. Even with March Madness brackets currently going on, people don't know who is going to win. Betting on a "sport" were people know well in advance who is going to win is not just silly. Its fucking retarded.
Guest burth179 Report post Posted March 29, 2006 MX, What I did was equate percent chances of guys winning and figure odds from that. If YOU can pick every single winner of every match then more power to you, but the fact is I read these so called "internet experts" predict PPV results and not one of them ever gets every single match correct... Unless you are a booker or are Dave Meltzer's right hand man getting all the insider info, I don't know how you "know" who is going to win every match. No matter how many web sites you read, etc. Go ahead and pick the winners of each match, we'll see how you do. I guarantee you don't go 11 for 11... You may be lucky to go 8 for 11, and with the odds that i created you may or may not lose "money" (if you were to actually bet)..
