Guest Smues Report post Posted April 2, 2006 Larry the Cable Guy making any money at all saddens me, but I'm glad to see that Ice Age made a ton in its opening weekend.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2006 Basic Instinct 2 did a bomb job so at least some good news came out of this. Looks like it was to be expected. Slither looked like a 2.50 theater movie for me, cool actors and all but just didn't appear to have any meat on the bone worth going to check out for 9.50. Vyce 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2006 Holy shit, 70 million? Is that a record for an opening this time of year? It's still a month, month and a half before the summer movie season opens and big box office weekends are the usual.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2006 Yeah, Slither looks like a $2 show pretty soon. Hopefully Hills as well, cause I still need to see that
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2006 And there wasn't any long weekends or anything like that at all.

Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted April 3, 2006 I'm glad Slither just went out and bombed already. I'm sick of seeing commercials for it on TV. A more grotesque rehash of a tired alien invasion/leeches plot is not worth seeing at all. God, modern horror movies suck.
BUTT 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2006 Clearly people ignored Slither because they are waiting for Snakes on a Plane.
haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2006 Eh, sad to see Slither bomb that badly. I wanted to see it because of the "rubber suit" monster effects that it had. The fact that LCG: HI is still in theatres is yet another testament to the decay of society. I enjoy his stand-up routine, in moderation, but theres no way I could sit through an hour and a half of his stuff. Has anyone watched SHaggy Dog yet? The previews looked terrible.
