Dogbert 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 Pretty lacklustre episode tonight. I killed myself laughing at the restaurant's name, though.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 This episode is proving nearly everything that South Park said last Wednesday I wonder when they're going to do an episode that's nothing but cutaway jokes
Guest Coffey Report post Posted April 10, 2006 That's why people watch Family Guy though. The cut-away jokes are what makes it fun.

Jebus 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 Pretty lacklustre episode tonight. I killed myself laughing at the restaurant's name, though. I was half paying attention...what was the restaurant's name? Not the best episode but there's always some good parts: Lois - "Brian wants to have sex with me so bad! He's never gonna get to!". Then, Peter takes a bite of his guitar... I also liked Chris' crying as he was being licked.
Star Ocean 3 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 It should be a Fox Sunday night thread, cause King of hte Hill, Simpsons, and War at Home were all good this week.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 Stewie singing the Mr Belvedere theme cracked me up for some reason.
Dogbert 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 Pretty lacklustre episode tonight. I killed myself laughing at the restaurant's name, though. I was half paying attention...what was the restaurant's name? "Qu'est-ce qui pue Restaurant." A lot of people wouldn't get that, but I did. Yay me. Simpsons was good tonight, to my surprise. Perhaps the show can get out of the funk it's been in for the better part of a decade?

DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 Yeah, just call this "Fox Sunday Night". I enjoyed everything tonight (except I refused to watch Free Ride for taking up AD's space). I think maybe I'm just a mark for references as the only things I remember really laughing at on Family Guy were Stewie singing Mr. Belevedere, The Noid ("Perhaps it was the Noid who should have avoided me"... loved it), and the TMNT theme being played for 4 seconds. On The Simpsons, Homer "calling" the "repair man" (Mac Tonight) was fairly amusing.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 Simpsons was good tonight, to my surprise. Perhaps the show can get out of the funk it's been in for the better part of a decade? The Simpsons have been out of the funk for pretty much this entire season. Up to this point, it's been the best season in years, especially the past five or so episodes. Slayer 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2006 That's why people watch Family Guy though. The cut-away jokes are what makes it fun. Not really. IMO, the gold standard episodes of the series are from season two (the best example being "Road to Rhode Island"), and they all had few-to-no cutaway jokes at all. At least if there were non-sequitirs, they dealt with the episode as a whole (ex: "Da Bomb")
EricMM 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2006 FG should never have come back It's been a pale imitation. I'm almost glad that the AD guy said he wouldn't try again if he could.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2006 I think South Park's bitter than Family Guy's taking the brunt of the attention for shock value for cartoons these days. I still like Family Guy, but it's not as good as it was the first two seasons
Slayer 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2006 I think South Park's bitter than Family Guy's taking the brunt of the attention for shock value for cartoons these days. Which is funny since FG really toned down the shock humor after the first season
