Lt. Al Giardello Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 Being out of a job, I've had too much time on my time, so I'm interested, which wrestling simulator is the best? I find wrestling sims fun.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 I still play EWR 4.2. It's a bit outdated (2003), but it's still fun.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted April 10, 2006 Author Report Posted April 10, 2006 TEW 2005. Got a link where I can download it?
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 It costs money to play TEW 2005, just so you know, EHME.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted April 10, 2006 Author Report Posted April 10, 2006 It costs money to play TEW 2005, just so you know, EHME. Darn, is it expensive?
tekcop Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 $35. EWR's decent enough especially considering it's free. But once you go TEW, you'll never go back.
tekcop Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 http://www.greydogsoftware.com/tew/ You can download the demo, which'll let you play through one month of in-game time.
AlaskanHero Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 I think it's 30 or 40 dollars, I forget which. Either way, I suggest trying out the demo. You'll have to hunt for the RaveX or T-Zone Modification if you want real world wrestlers though. http://www.greydogsoftware.com/ Thumb through it to find what you want. Or go with EWR 4.2. It still stands the test of time.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted April 11, 2006 Author Report Posted April 11, 2006 How come I can't use the WWE or TNA in TEW?
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 You'd have to download RaveX or whatever. TEW comes with fictional feds and characters as to avoid lawsuits with the real copyrights.
tekcop Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 Yeah, ust look in the mods folder of the Grey Dog forum.
k thx Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 TEW is cool, but god damn it takes time to play. I'll book a show, get bored of clicking, then go back to it an hour later.
theintensifier Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 TEW is the best, by far. It costs a few bucks, and is very time consuming. But, regardless of those two flaws, it's fun.
Sideburnious Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 I dunno, I was a bit dissapointed with the fact that it basically just has a comment of what you've already booked, as opposed to EWR that had a result page. It just added more to the feel and was very anti-climactic after the amount of time it takes to actually book a show.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 Yeah, for all the fun TEW was, I actually preferred EWR 4.2.
Carnival Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 So I downloaded TEW05 but I can't get a good copy of RaveX or T-Zone. I found one, but the data is all real names....fuck that. Greydog's forum has nothing on it either every link I find is dead. can someone help?
Kismet Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 RaveX n T-Zone are suppossed to be real names. Did you mean you found a download but it wasnt one of those 2?
tekcop Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 Carnival, if you start playing the game with one of those mods you'll realize that the wrestler's "fake" names are a part of their contracts. Kane is "Kane" in WWE, but Glenn Jacobs otherwise.
Carnival Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 I wasn't aware of this, thank you. I didn't play a game yet cuz the mod i got had a few contract flaws i needed to correct before it would start, and as I went to do that I noticed the real names.
tekcop Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 Yeah, I fucking hate the contract things. Last time I started a new game I had to spend 30 minutes fixing that shit before I could play.
