Timmy8271 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Some idiot on ESPN wants to make the recent NBA suspensions a race issue. "The only reason the NBA has this type of rule and MLB and the NHL doesn't is because there are more black players in the NBA." Terrible. Was it this douche? No, it was actually this guy Chris Broussard That guy is actually worse than Screaming A smith. God his voice makes me want to punch orphans. I got a question: Why is this "Brett Farve going to minicamp or not" News? Seriously does anyone give a fuck?
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 I'm watching Sports Reporters right now. I know people don't like Jackie Mcmullen here but Selena Roberts is much worse. God her voice is annoying. I love Jackie Mac. She actually knows what she is talking about on ATH. Jackie's by far one of the worst panelists on the showalong with Bob Ryan. You only like her because she's a Red Sox homer. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 she's annoying as hell and Tony kisses her ass constantly. At least she got rid of that poodle look she was rockin for awhile. Note to women, perms are UGLY
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Some crap about "ROCKET RELAUNCH" and pitch by pitch coverage of Clemens' minor league start.
Guest Smues Report post Posted May 20, 2007 "Giants went 1-2-3 in the top of the 9th. Bonds being the 2." (shows Bonds' at-bat, I notice it says 0 outs on the top bar) "and he flyed out to right" (we watch him fly out to center) "...err I guess I mean fly out to center"

J.B. Buzzkill 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 I'm not a basketball fan at all, but why the hell are they harping ENDLESSLY on LeBron for passing the ball? Shouldn't his teammate get some blame for, I dunno, missing the shot?
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 I'm not a basketball fan at all, but why the hell are they harping ENDLESSLY on LeBron for passing the ball? Shouldn't his teammate get some blame for, I dunno, missing the shot? Because winners want the ball when the game is on the line silly. That's it, that's the whole reason. Lebron made a smart play since going up for the shot might have resulted in him missing or getting blocked and us getting either the "Lebron can't make it in big games" or "Is Lebron James selfish?" discussion. With ESPN, if he doesn't make the shot and score 80 points then he's obviously not ready.
Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 ESPN is only going to show the half innings that Clemens pitches tonight and will use the other half to dissect his performance, meaning I lose my opportunity to see Clay Buchholz pitch. Screw them.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 YES played his start the next day last time. Thursday is a day off, so I assume they will play this one as well.
Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2007 I was very unimpressed with Michael Kay filling in for Dan Patrick today on ESPN Radio. The Yankee homer stuff is fine when you are in your local market, but it's totally inappropriate for a nationally syndicated show.

Guy's the Cal Ripken of Booyah Radio.
Guest Smues Report post Posted May 26, 2007 You must not listen to much Dan Patrick Show (and that's a good thing by the way.) He takes plenty of time off, especially in the summer.
Guest George's Box Report post Posted May 26, 2007 Oh, I was just being sarcastic. Guy's off a lot, and when he is on, he leaves more dead air than a college radio host. Doesn't he have a producer that he can have a dialogue with?
Guest Smues Report post Posted May 26, 2007 I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices/hates the dead air. I suppose dead air > Rob Dribble, so it's an improvement, but that's about it. I suppose he could have Phil "The Showkiller" chat more. Or I guess he just calls him showkiller, which he stole from Kornheiser.
Guest George's Box Report post Posted May 26, 2007 I don't see the point in national sports talk radio. I think it's a format best suited to being highly local, unless you're not in a two-team town. Maybe overnights you can pick up a national feed, because who cares, it's overnights, but from noon to 3? Stay local.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2007 Richeous Mike Greenberg talks way too fast on the radio. And you can hear Golic spitting and slobbering all over the mic when he is allowed to get a word in. Edit: National sports coverage, in a word, is awful. treble 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2007 There aren't any shows on the XM MLB channel that I can listen to besides Fantasy Focus. I guess the MLB Live shows are ok when there are games on, but I can't stand 90% of the hosts on that channel.

Timmy8271 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2007 I thought Brian Kenney did a good job putting over MMA on sportscenter on Friday. Anyone other than him is scary. ESPN needs an analyst like maybe Tito or Ken Shamrock.

JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2007 After a week of "LeBron James isn't Michael Jordan" talk all over ESPN television and radio, they just showed a video on Sportscenter which flashed between pictures of LeBron James and Michael Jordan to hype the Cavaliers/Pistons game tonight.
