THIS is the highest ratet show on TV?

I think CSI is getting a lil too stylized now and it sorta has taken over the show, plus they seem to be in the simpsons territory of coming up with whacky scenarios because they have no ideas left under their older format (plus the "success" of previous storylines doesn't help either). Season 4, imo, was their best season, and I'd say they had gotten progressively better each season up until 5. But there are some truly great episodes and character relationships, as well as, twists.

Without a Trace has been kicking its ass for two seasons now. It really is time to let ER die.

Funk that. I need my weekly Maura fix.

Luckily she isn't going to be typecasted for her role on ER, so she would likely end up on another show anyways. ER is living off its name right, and it is designed in a way that it can extend itself for a longer duration. (It's been 12 years now right?). Ratings aren't in the tank even if WAT has spanked them as of late.

The problem I have with shows like CSI, is that they are usually just drama shows masked by "detective" plots. I mean if people were really intrigued or interested in that kind of stuff, they should be watching Forensic Files on Court TV or even the Autopsy series on HBO.

The thing about CSI, is the character storylines aren't really pronounced. You have to have watched for awhile to get it.

Like, the cliffhanger for this season was Grissom ending up in bed with Sara. For anyone who hasn't watched alot, it probably wouldn't mean anything, but for people who've watched for years now it's massive.

Throw in Nick's issues after having been kidnapped, aswell as he still has the issues for storylines.

To me, CSI's the ultimate background show. You can throw on the show, and even if you don't follow the show too closely, it still provides entertainment. Plus, it's a really slick program, with great useage of visuals and music. Just really good overall.
