death_by_burrito Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 A.J. Styles' move where he lifts up the little hood to look at the crowd was bad enough, now he has Christopher Daniels doing it as well. Glad I wasn't the only one to notice haha.
JustJoe2k5 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 I hate when taped shows join matches in progress.
The Amazing Rando Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 I thought the stereo hood flip thing was fairly humorous.
JustJoe2k5 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 When talking about things to get excited about for Sacrifice, Bobby Rude vs. Rhino probably shouldn't be the first thing Don West mentions.
death_by_burrito Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 So the lineup for sunday is: Rhino vs. Bobby Roode X-Cup Gauntlet Style/Daniels vs. AMW James Gang vs. 3D Abyss vs. Christian Sting/Joe vs. Jarret/Steiner Anything I'm missing?
JustJoe2k5 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 TNA should really try to extend their show to atleast a hour and a half if not two hours. It really henders their growth to be confined to a one-hour show each week.
Astro101 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 TNA should really try to extend their show to atleast a hour and a half if not two hours. It really henders their growth to be confined to a one-hour show each week. TNA would love to extend the hours. It's up to Spike. And until TNA can grow in the ratings enough to make an "impact", we're stuck with a one hour show.
JustJoe2k5 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 So the lineup for sunday is: Rhino vs. Bobby Roode X-Cup Gauntlet Style/Daniels vs. AMW James Gang vs. 3D Abyss vs. Christian Sting/Joe vs. Jarret/Steiner Anything I'm missing? Jushin Liger vs. Petey Williams
death_by_burrito Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Ah yeah, thanks. I don't think Petey will be good against Liger. It's just gonna be Liger getting offense until Petey does his little spot where he tries to go for the Destroyer, then Liger reverses for the pin.
ChrisMWaters Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 So the lineup for sunday is: Rhino vs. Bobby Roode X-Cup Gauntlet Style/Daniels vs. AMW James Gang vs. 3D Abyss vs. Christian Sting/Joe vs. Jarret/Steiner Anything I'm missing? Jushin Liger vs. Petey Williams Also Raven/A-1
razazteca Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 A.J. Styles' move where he lifts up the little hood to look at the crowd was bad enough, now he has Christopher Daniels doing it as well. Daniels, AJ, Christian need to form a cult stable! They can claim to be fundamentalist Mormon X Division wrestlers! Oh and Christian will change his name to Xian. Their entrance would be AJ doing the hoodie spot to the left, Christian doing the hoodie spot to the right and Daniels doing his hand signal in the center while the pyro goes off.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 AJ/Daniels should win the tag titles and then turn Dudleys heel. The tag division needs some life injected and the Dudleys could use a heel or tweener run.
Guest Chris Xtreme Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 AJ/Daniels should win the tag titles and then turn Dudleys heel. The tag division needs some life injected and the Dudleys could use a heel or tweener run. I agree, a three way fued between AMW, Team 3D, and Styles/ Daniels would freshen things up. You could even throw the James Gang in the mix a little, to get whatever you can get out of them before they outlive there usefulness ( at least they seem to be done with that god awful fued with LAX). Although, the James Gang should probably job to Team 3D on Sunday, since the former Dudley's are probably of more use to TNA at this point.
death_by_burrito Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Plug LAX in there to get put over James Gang to get into the tag title hunt. With Cornette coming in, i'm sure the Tag Division should get better.
Guest J0bber Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 My Thoughts: This week's Impact was rather weak compared to last week. I thought part I of the Kevin Nash interview was way more enjoyable than part II, but we'll see what Kevin Nash does at Sacrifice. I'm guessing he comes in during the World X Cup Gauntlet and takes out a bunch of X-Divisioners. Did anyone else think BG James kissing Brother D Von was a bit awkward? I can understand the buildup for the match though. It's a decent match that willl get both teams on the card. As far as Christian jumping off the ladder, I thought it was an awesome moment, but the announcers didn't react that well to it. They even showed a replay just 2 seconds after he jumped. They should have done a longer camera on Christian and Abyss laying down to extend the drama, but I'll guess will get that at Full Metal Mayhem. Also, Sting's false introduction of his mystery opponent before he announced Joe was out of place. It confused the hell out of me, and most of the crowd was dead during the whole segment. Then, out of no where he just changes the tone of his voice and announces Samoa Joe. Randomness. Other than that, the show was pretty decent.

The Decemberists Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Also, Sting's false introduction of his mystery opponent before he announced Joe was out of place. It confused the hell out of me, and most of the crowd was dead during the whole segment. Then, out of no where he just changes the tone of his voice and announces Samoa Joe. Randomness. . The idea was to give the impression that Sting didn't actually have anyone decent as his partner and that Jarrett was right, before he swerves Jeff and annouces Joe. I thought it worked reasonably well as the end result - Joe's pop - was definatly loud enough to make it seem a big deal on TV.
Si82 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 I want a picture of Sting holding up Joe's shirt... Here you go:
luke-o Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Sounds like it was a decent show, and a fairly good card for sacrifice. and i agree with the tag title hunt, Team 3D should turn heel to win the titles off AJ/Daniels. Then give James Gang a shot, and throw in teams like LAX and DiTR.
JustJoe2k5 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 TNA has the base for a fairly decent tag team division: A.J. Styles and Christopher Daniels America's Most Wanted James' Gang Team 3D Just those four teams could have alot of good matches together. They could stand to add a few more legitimate contenders, but it's pretty solid right now.
Maztinho Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Daniels, AJ, Christian need to form a cult stable! They would have to wear all denim long sleeve shirts, and always be checking the cell phone on thier waist. As I type this a group of polygamist women walk by in the library... CLASSIC!! So I live in Southern Utah, and polygamists are in abundance. I figured it was going to be Joe from the time that Scott and JJ started coming down after Joe's title defence. It should be an interesting match. Joe you forgot to mention that any combination of Team Canada is a great team as well. Young/A1 just work well in my eyes. I've been watching some old ECW tapes, and Team 3D need to go heel, and they need to try and get Gertner to manage them. I think he'd pump some life into their stagnant promos at least.

He might tear something just trying to get Sonjay off of the ground.
TNABaddboi Posted May 12, 2006 Author Report Posted May 12, 2006 Ratings news, from Meltz: TNA got some decent news as it rebounded to a 1.0 and blew away all previous marks in the Men 18-34 demo with a 1.9
razazteca Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 This is Nash we're talking about. He might tear something just trying to get Sonjay off of the ground. But Sonjay only weighs what 160 pounds that's still human lawn dart material.
luke-o Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Saying that, rumours are that Sonjay is going to join forces with Nash to set up a Sabin/Dutt fued. He's been trying to get into a storyline for ages.
Astro101 Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Even though it's a rumor, a spoiler alret would've been nice.
razazteca Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Sabin/Dutt feud would be nice if and only if the blowoff would be a hair match.
