Lord of The Curry Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 77 million? Holy fuck, people are suckers.
2GOLD Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 6 N See No Evil Lions $4,350,000 - 1,257 - $3,460 $4,350,000 $8 1 Well, that is well below my 8 million prediction. Looks like they got no one but WWE fans.
Mole Posted May 21, 2006 Author Report Posted May 21, 2006 It will do well on DVD. Besides, how much did it cost to make?
Jebus Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 It will do well on DVD. Besides, how much did it cost to make? 8 million
Mole Posted May 21, 2006 Author Report Posted May 21, 2006 So it will make about $20 million all together which will warrant a sequel because Vince is, well, Vince.
King Kamala Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 Hear No Evil: See No Evil 2.....Jacob Goodnight comes back from the dead and with the help of his brother (Played by The Undertaker) kills a new batch of oversexed, good looking teenagers.
SuperJerk Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 "This week, Tom Hanks...you'll be facing...KANE!!!!!"
Placebo Effect Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 6 N See No Evil Lions $4,350,000 - 1,257 - $3,460 $4,350,000 $8 1 Well, that is well below my 8 million prediction. Looks like they got no one but WWE fans. I think we all expected the movie to open up in at least 2,000 theaters. Although, adjusted for the 1,200 screens it played on, $4.3 million is still a pretty sad number.
NoCalMike Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 Jesus Christ, I can't believe The Da Vinci Code did that well........
razazteca Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 Hear No Evil: See No Evil 2.....Jacob Goodnight comes back from the dead and with the help of his brother (Played by The Undertaker) kills a new batch of oversexed, good looking teenagers. In the tradition of the Aliens vs Predator and Freddy vs Jason the next WWE Film should be Boogieman vs UMANGA
Ginger Snaps Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 See No Evil will still probably wind up making money. The domestic gross (when it's all said and done) will probably cover the production costs, maybe even the promotion costs, and they'll make their money with international gross and DVD sales.
bobobrazil1984 Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 I dont have any particular inclination to see DaVinci Code even though I enjoyed the book as a popcorn read... but I'm glad to see the christian right doesn't have nearly the influence I feared.
Hawk 34 Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 They didn't really learn from the whole Passion fiasco.
CheesalaIsGood Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 Nobody should be surprised at how well DVC would do prior to the reviews that came out. It had be groomed to be a hit. But when the reviews hit I was sure it would bomb since not only were they negative... but they were REALLY negative. Having only read the book recently maybe I was underestimating the books popularity. Oh well catholics. Deal with it or don't.
Mole Posted May 23, 2006 Author Report Posted May 23, 2006 I know a lot of catholics and I haven' heard once complain yet.
Hawk 34 Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 Catholics aren't bitching, it's the organizations representing the catholics that are bitching.
Red Baron Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 A lot of people that I work with said it sucked. Lots of talking.
Dangerous A Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 DaVinci Code will probrably have a huge dropoff next weekend with X-3 and people holding out listening to bad reviews, but on a moneymaking level, it made $224 million worldwide, which makes it a financial success.
