I find this thread's title exceptionally misleading.

Why?

Guest Smues

Possibly because the title says movie releases 2006 when really it goes up to 2008.

Saw 3? Yeesh.

Well, I was gonna open a new thread for 2007, etc. when the time comes, as this one will probably get clogged up by December.

Lots of good stuff coming this summer.

I'll see Nacho Libre, Superman, PotC2, Pulse and Clerks II pretty much for sure. And Motherfuckin' Snakes on a Motherfuckin' plane.

There are also some intriguing looking ones like a Scanner Darkly and Lady in the Water.

But Jesus Christ, all the horror movie remakes are starting to tick me off. Wicker Man? That movie, like Texas Chainsaw Massacre was pretty much perfectly conceived the first time around. Black Christmas? Now there's a good slasher flick that probably no one remembers.

I still need to see X-Men 3. Other than that, though, the only films in June that I'll wind up seeing are probably Nacho Libre & Superman.

I'll be honest, I'm 10 times more excited to see Nacho Libre than Superman. I just am almost totally apathetic towards this new Superman flick. If I wasn't such a comic book geek, I'd probably just skip it altogether.

I went to see The Omen today...pretty good. But anyways, before the movie they had a trailer for Sacha Baron Cohen's (aka Ali G) new moive Borat. Looks fucking awesome. Go see it November 4th, because Santa Clause 3 comes out the same day and you do not want to see that.

I'll take Santa Clause 3 over Ali G.

Actually, I'll just avoid both of them in the hopes they both just go away quick as possible.

I'll take Borat over Ali G or Santa Clause 3. Borat is an awesome character.

Tucker isn't even sure he wants to do the film.

Supposedly it's in pre-production. BoxOfficeMojo.com currently lists its release date at Aug/10th/2007. They're usually up to date.

Also, http://www.us.imdb.com/name/nm0000676/. Says he's getting $25 million for Rush Hour 3.

Wicker Man w/o Christopher Lee? No good can come of that.

I read somewhere that Ratner said he still hasn't decided to do it yet. But I might be remembering it wrong or something.

I saw Lady In The Water today, before the movie there was a trailer for The Children of Men (starring Clive Owen, Julianne Moore, and Michael Caine). That looks pretty awesome. It's release date is December/25th/2006.

The Children of Men, set in 2027, when no child has been born for 18 years (the world's youngest citizen has just died at 18), and science is at a loss to explain the reason, African and East European societies collapse and their dwindling populations migrate to England and other wealthy nations. In a climate of nationalistic violence, a London peace activist turned bureaucrat Theo Faron, joins forces with his revolutionary ex-wife Julian in order to save mankind by protecting a woman who has mysteriously became pregnant.

AvP2, great. The film that managed to kill off James Cameron's and Ridley Scott's interest in the ALIEN franchise is getting a chance to finish off PREDATOR.

Reno 911!: Miami got it's release date today, February/23rd/2007. I'm so excited for this movie. I'm loving Season 4 on Sundays.

The Reno Sheriff's Department are called in to save the day after a terrorist attack disrupts a national police convention in Miami Beach during Spring Break.

Michael Ian Black and David Wain (from TV Series Stella), Danny DeVito, The Rock (cameo), David Koechner (Champ Kind from Anchorman), and Paul Reubens will all be appearing.

The ads for Black Dahlia look really good. I don't like Josh Hartnett, though.

I might go see Crank this weekend. Jason Statham is really, really sexy, I'll watch him in anything.

It's Rob Zombie's version of Halloween (yes the Myers Halloween franchise). I Am Legend sounds good on paper but who knows?
