bob_barron 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2006 I'd personally prefer someone punch Zo in the kidneys before he ever plays basketball again, but that's just me.
Guest Report post Posted June 4, 2006 Zo deserves it for fighting through his kidney problem, but he doesn't for the way he treated a few organizations.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2006 Did Zo fuck your sister or something? That's alot of hate.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 I'd rather have 12 Alonzo Mournings on my team than Vince Carter.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 I wouldn't. Vince Carter is nice.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 Carter fucked the Raptors over worse that Zo has or could ever fuck any team over. You have to feel bad for a guy like Chris Bosh...that team may not contend for the playoffs the rest of the decade the way Carter killed his trade value, to where they had to trade him for basically nothing. The man is a piece of shit, plain and simple.
Guest Report post Posted June 5, 2006 Agreed. Zo is also a piece of shit for not reporting in the Carter deal, but the Raptors had to take it anyway because of the things Vince said and did.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 Zo didn't report. Atleast Carter played. Zo got lucky that Kidd wanted him on the Nets. He got his contract, then bashed the team when they lost K-Mart. He started to bitch, so they sent him away. Carter on the other hand was on a team that was going nowhere till they drafted Bosh. Mourning then doesn't even report, and signs on a team who has a chance to win the title. Sounds like a great guy to me.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 I guess it's always better to quit on actual games that count in the standings and ruin your trade value to the franchise, than it is to just not report. At least when you don't report you don't prevent your teammates from winning games they're busting their asses in. VC admitted to tanking games to get out of Toronto. Don't get me wrong, neither one acted like a "man", but giving VC a pass is laughable when his "sin" was far greater.
Guest Report post Posted June 5, 2006 Was the reason that Zo didn't report just because he didn't want to play in Canada?
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 No, it was because he wanted to play for a contender. Still not a valid reason to do what he did, but this is a rather common occurence. I've never seen anyone catch shit the way he has for it.

The man is a piece of shit, plain and simple. Yea, what Vince did was a dick move. Doesn't excuse what Zo did. And people forget that Eric Williams was hardly nothing when the Raps traded for him. I think if the Raps knew his talent was going to decline on the plane flight from Jersey to Toronto, they wouldn't have made the trade. And I think the Raps could ptobably contend for a playoff spot in a few years given how crappy their division is. I've never seen anyone catch shit the way he has for it. And he also quit on the Nets. At least Vince only screwed over one team.
Guest Report post Posted June 5, 2006 Stevie Franchise and Kobe did it before they were even in the league. They didn't sign big contracts and quit on their team (Steve is debateable, but at least Kobe gave prior warning when he did and Charlotte made a trade for a piece they needed), and in Zo's case not just once, but twice. I don't think the Raptors are going to survive much longer unless they want to field a team of foreigners, but that's just my opinion.
Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 What Steve Francis did to the Grizzles was the worst. I hold that peice of shit responsible for NBA failing in Vancouver.

I was referring to making it crystal clear that they were not reporting to a shitty/small market team. Stevie Franchise (Killer) has done enough without even having to quit on his teammates. At the end of the day all of those guys were primadonnas, but it's not like Alonzo committed an Artest in the midst of a potential title run.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 Miami in six. All the old dudes can get their rings, and Wade is that team. That's how I've looked at them in these playoffs. The man's been nuclear, and this year he has enough people playing well around him to where he can pull this off. Passing the torch thing and all. It's the natural order of things. Next year is looking more interesting to me right now to be honest, because I want to see these young guys really start to realize their potentials. For now though, Miami will beat Dallas in a very tightly contested six game series. Each team will get one fairly-sized margin of victory on the other, but four will end up being extremely competitive. Dallas is too good to go down without a fight, and if Miami starts breaking down again like they almost did against Da Bullz they'll lose this in short order. The Mavs are THAT good, but Miami's better on all cylinders.
what 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 Dallas is a much more complete team and has home court so I will predict them to win in 7. You never know with Shaq and Wade though.
Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 I agree with Kingofthe909 in that Zo doesn't deverse shit for what he did to Toronto. But at the same time it would be nice to see Gary Payton get a ring. But I'm cheering for the Mavericks, Avery Johnson is that nigga.

Didn't Payton no-show the Hawks, thereby ripping them off in a trade with Boston similar to what Zo did with the Raptors?
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 Yeah. That was the trade that brought Walker back to the Celtics for that half season.
Guest Report post Posted June 5, 2006 I agree with Kingofthe909 in that Zo doesn't deverse shit for what he did to Toronto. I never said that. I said he deserves the shit that he gets for quitting on two teams, but that his kidney problem should cancel the hate that he gets. The guy wants to win a ring, and could die soon for all we know. That's the last thing that I want to happen to anyone.

Just John 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 The Hawks and Raptors have about the same level of credibility. Even if VC wanted to play, Zo going there wouldn't have made that team contend for a championship in any capacity. Payton and Zo's antics were pretty much the same, so I don't see how you can rip one, and dismiss the other.
teke184 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 This is a win-win series around my area... The Heat winning has local ties because Shaq played at LSU. The Mavs winning has local ties because their coach, Avery Johnson, played at Southern University, which is the other large college in town. As far as predictions go, I'll say the Heat in 6.
