Good Managers Women Do Not Make

Recommended Posts

A couple of weeks ago I got fired from my dream job of working customer service for the local transit agency (not the CS part, but just working at the agency because I planned to move up to service planner). Anywhoodles, my termination was due to me looking at a 1985 system map in what is essentially an agency library. The women behind my dismissal reprimanded me twice the day it happened, then twice the next day after I asked the person actually in charge of the room if I may return. After my second day of training, I was released without warning. Of course I intend to take it to the board of directors, but this just reaffirms my belief that women just don't have the emotional control to manage anyone or anything besides the regulation of pads and tampons. Also, I guess it didn't help that I had more knowledge of the transit system and the city than they did which was apparent by the numerous mistakes made during training.

But yeah, needed to get that off of my chest.

Seyss, why did you get in trouble? Was the information off-limits for those under a certain job level?

oh and as a guy that manages mostly women with women in lead roles covering my departments, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Women can't take the pressure and they can't handle confrontation.

No, it was not off limits. It has two doors, both always open and the information contained inside is public information. My understanding is that the women didn't really know what was in the room, didn't take the time to find out and just had me released. I guess they figured I would not fight the termination.

First - I don't think you should be in this room.

Second - Like I said, I don't think you should be in that room, if something came up missing, the customer service department would be held responsible (not true).

After I asked the lady in charge of the room

Third - She is not your manager! you need to talk to your manager!

Fourth - You shouldn't be in there. (Public info, no restrictions, locked doors, or previous instructions not to enter, even when I asked about the room the 1st day) Why are you in there? (To look at a map) Why were you doing it during training time? (I wasn't). Okay, well why can't you get someone else to get that map for you. (I will) Focus on your training. (Um, I was. I know more than your bonehead trainers here). Customer service members usually don't go in that room (I wouldn't expect vain, aging black women to be interested in the inner workings of a transit agency beyond the yacking on the phone which they are paid to do).

Later, after class and compliments, I'm released. Um, yeah.

Note: I did not say anything that was in those parenthesis.

I've had idiot bosses of both genders (still do, actually), but my women ones were worse in general. Also, I love it when bitches complain that men who work under them are afraid of taking orders from a strong woman. While there's no doubt there are men like that out there, they are nothing compared to some of the feminazis I've worked with who think everything done or said in this world is some subliminal attempt at oppressing them.

But feminazis SHOULD be oppressed. Anybody that preaches about equality and then demands preferential treatment and raises a huge fuss that could possibly bring bad attention to whatever company or branch or whatever they're throwing a hissyfit over whenever something doesn't go their way SHOULD be pushed down.

RE: female bosses

Most of the ones I've had were fucking terrible, whereas all of the guy bosses I've had were people I'd prolly go out and have a few beers with. My female bosses were, more often than not, rude and incessantly mean to every employee unless they wanted some of their work done for them and were going to ask one of us to do it.

I'm not saying women are poor managers/bosses/whatever, though. I'm saying that people suck.

My (former) female boss was making us do retarded shit like buy cigarettes for her chain-smoking and coffe for the kitchen (even though we could never have any because of our work load). She was terminated recently, and good riddance. She was a cougar with a princess complex.

If you lived in PA you'd be fucked. "At will" employment state.

Most states are at will for both employer and employee.

Now that I think of it, all my women bosses were bitches, while all my male bosses were awesome. There was one bitter old man that I worked for, but that doesn't count because he still liked me, he just was bitter.

The vast majority of jobs are at will. For ones that aren't, academic tenure jobs and sports contracts are the best examples I can come up with, and I think that's about it without going into minor exceptions.
