I gained a lot of respect for Sabu when he showed up with a broken arm to put over Samoa Joe on his way out of TNA...he wasn't really under contract...and was signing with ECW like a day later.

 

It almost makes up for his history of no shows.

Jesus, they only hammered the point across a 1,000 times. Heyman sees ECW as a NEW ECW. Where pure wrestling thrives, pure athleticism... and Kurt Angle is the standard for all of that.

 

Heyman's new idea is a more UFC/MMA-style product. There were some glimpses of that in OVW.

No, they had PPV sponsors on several occasions. The ECW video games and Pioneer Home Entertainment sponsored pay-per-views before 2000.
