Special K 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 Yeah, but it'll still be considered a hit. The backlash will really begin with X4. I think it's made more money than any other movie this year.

Guest NYankees Report post Posted June 19, 2006 And the downward spiral of X3 continues. Proof positive that word-of-mouth is still one of the biggest factors in box office dollars. You do know that it is summer time and Movie Studios are releasing hit movie after hit movie every week? Look at this week, the top 3 movies all made over 25 million dollars. There are what 5 movies in the top 10 that have made over 100 million dollars. 2 have made 200 million. There is a ton of competition.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 Did the original Garfield movie even make good enough money for a sequel to be made? Yes, it did EXTREMELY well internationally which got it the sequel. It was cute, about what I expected out of a Garfield movie. The second one I haven't seen nor will I for seven to nine bucks. It's only 80 minutes long, screw that. The original had a budget of 50 million, it made 75 million in the US and 123 million overseas. So more than likely, this one will again do extremely well overseas but it won't justify a third one. Least I don't think it will but it might do huge. And they made a Road House 2??!?! The fuck?

The movie that has made 215 million dollars in the US alone and is about a month old should still be on number one. Its the word-of-mouth thats stopping it from happening. Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted June 20, 2006 I think the X-Men audience is only so big, since most of that audience comes out opening weekend, there is no reason for the movie to stay at the top for more than a week or two.

AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2006 I guess that's all she wrote for See No Evil... Seriously though, it actually did slightly better than expected, didn't it? It was cheap to make and has earned a slight profit. People will buy the DVD, and unfortunately this will probably help finance another WWE Film.
