I know. I was a somewhat unsure about this character's involvement since I was never a huge fan, but that one little bit at the end of the footage has me convinced. I can't wait! I heard Raimi hated Venom since he's a fan of the old school villains, but I think the fans forced him to change his mind and include V. bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2006 supposedly the producer (whatshisname) asked Raimi for Venom in Spidey 3, citing it was what the fans wanted to see. Raimi and writers kicked it around a bit, and eventually, Raimi (claims) he became a fan of the character as they made the film. I can sorta see why, they managed to tie in the Venom story and the theme of revenge into all 3 plotlines (peter-sandman, harry-peter, brock-venom-peter). reign 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2006 Venom really was always a good character, just wanting to kill Parker and not "innocents"...I tried to find some of McFarlane's first pictures of Venom but couldn't(with all the movie stuff) because I seem to recall that he didn't always have such a huge monsterous mouth in the beginning and it was more of a crazy big grin...can any body back this up or am I just wrong?
