Shawn Michaels is the greatest wrestler in WWE History...

Recommended Posts

Guest GoldenKlose38

The man can do it all. He has more charisma then any man in WWE history, he has put on the most classic matches out of all wrestlers. He has the mic skills, he can play face/heel and has given us more memorable moments than anyone. He is a fucking incredible athletic specimen that is superior to all other men to lace em up.

Sure there are other candidates like Bret Hart, Stone Cold, Randy Savage... but at the end of the day, The Heart Break Kid is the greatest.

Agree?

Oh yay, another troll.

No, Savage is better, if only because he's totally batshit insane. This line alone proves you're an idiot: "He has more charisma then any man in WWE history, he has put on the most classic matches out of all wrestlers."

Why don't you elaborate you goon. Why am I an idiot? So you're saying Austin, Savage and Bret are better?

If there was ever something that could clearly illustrate the difference between a mark and a smark, this would be it. This kind of statement can only come from a mark. Nothing you can say will get him to sway from this "logical conclusion". This thread will only get worse.

He doesn't express his opinion very well, but he's right in principle. HBK's probably the greatest all-around wrestler in history.

HBK is one of my favorites, but there are plenty of "better" wrestlers out there. Austin for one, who played heel and face better than Michaels and had many good matches. I'm not even going to bring Japanese wrestlers into this because it wouldn't even be a contest but Michaels isn't the greatest all around (to me, at least, I realize this is subjective).

I got Jim Powers as the greatest wrestler in WWE history.

He was a true company man who'd job to anyone. Threw a mean dropkick. Had charisma for days. The whitest teeth. The most rockin theme song . . . on the occassions he had an entrance. A very versatile jobber. He could job to the newcomers, veterans, main eventers, low carders, big, small, and anyone inbetween. The crowd bought into him despite him getting an average of oh . . . about 2 wins a year from 1984-94. Without true legends like Jim Powers putting over Michaels, Hart, Savage, ect. in the 1980s-90s, they'd have been stuck exchanging jobs like the current crop does now, yo.

How long until this turns into HBK vs Bret round 186235415415784156484865?

Is HBK a good worker? Par at best

Is HBK a good face? Hasn't been a good one since the days as a Rocker

Is HBK a good heel? if shoot promos count...

Is HBK atleast entertaining? Yes, undoubtly.

Sum up of HBK: HBK best represents the WWE, ok wrestling with atlot of dick jokes and snide comments to get a crowd. Yet nothing of substances to keep the crowd.

ah, but this clearly warrants a thread. Why else would he have made a thread for it?

Thinking about the logic of that sentence makes my head spin. Kudos! :D

yay, I win! I love Kudos, can it be a chocolate chip one?

Isn't this the same kind of thread that got my dearest friend; DeathFromAbove (aka. KJ Brackish) banned?

I happen to concur with his hypothesis that HBK is a good wrestler, but the best?!? I couldn't pass that kind of judgement.

I have a question for everyone. Who would be considered the best wrestler in wwf/e history ? You can only count wrestlers from wwf/e and only their matches from wwf/e.

All-around? Probably Steve Austin, certainly prior to the injury. The guy is a walking joke these days, but he was fantastic at what he did. He could wrestle (ex. Survivor Series 1996) & brawl (ex. Wrestlemania XIII) with the best of them, could play heel or face, was one of the best promo guys in the business, and was as over as Hulk Hogan. He's probably about as close to a total package that you are going to get. Other candidates as far as WWE is concerned, include Savage, Michaels, Hart, Rock & Angle.

The best pure wrestler in WWE history is Chris Benoit.

I would feel comfortable with placing Shawn highly as a performer, which is what he was and is. Shawn was pure performence and very little else.

Shawn's strongest attributes were his ability to capture the spotlight by making it all about him, even if it meant sacrificing his dance partner in the ring. This is why he is held in such high regards to those that like that particular style because he was given carte blanche over the entire roster. He worked the crowd very nicely because of this.

Shawn's weakness tremendously overweighed his positives, which is why Shawn isn't going stand the test of time. He has his share of quality entertainment but as a wrestler, he was below average.

It's interesting to note how this always goes under the radar but Shawn is partially responsible for 2 of the best talents of the new millennium (Spanky and Danielson) and the latter has already eclipsed Shawn in every aspect of the business.

Hey mods. I demand that you explain this banning in the "banned posters" thread in Site Feedback. Not that I don't understand. I just need to know that you still care.
