TheFranchise Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Dropping Jeff Hardy on his head? I wouldn't complain seeing that every week... Is Christian the most consistant character in WWE? Has he been a face since '99, save for that sorta-face run during the Alliance, but it really wasn't because everyone knew he was turning on Edge? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Huh? Christian's been a heel that is slowly turning face; after the Alliance thing, the only notable thing I remember before Tomko was the "Unamerican" gimmick...both of those were heelish things. If you're looking for consistency, look at the Hurricane/Helms - I can't remember him ever being a heel... there's also HHH (minus the *very* short reintro face run) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Um, that's what I'm saying. He hasn't been a face since '99. He's been a consistant heel. His character hasn't really changed too much since E&C anyways. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You've written face rather than heel in your original point, CC. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just to clear it up completely, she said 'has he' rather than 'he has'
claydude14 Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 Doug Basham has been heel his entire stay too... BY THE WAY WHERE THE FUCK IS THE BASH MAN?! He hasn't even been on Velocity in weeks, and I'm starting to get really worried.
pochorenella Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 Anybody here seen Brock Lesnar vs Randy Orton from WWE? It was a SD! show IIRC, and I'm trying to place the date so I can look for it on my tape library. Any help, please? EDIT: Nevermind, found it. It was the September 5th, 2002 SD! show.
Epic Reine Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 Chris Benoit has had 4 appearences on Velocity since joining Smackdown. That's scary.
claydude14 Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 At least two have been agasnst Regal.
Lil' Bitch Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 I just saw Triple H, Mini-Me and Dave Mirra on a Wendy's commerical together. Triple H was sitting on a bench in his sleeveless shirt munching on a burger and went "This is a TRIPLE H burger"... No wonder he got all fat now.
Dandy Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 Before they got rid of the bWo, they should have had Simon Dean calling Blue Meanie fat during his segments. Then the bWo, including Nova, could talk trash about Simon during a segment. This leads to a Loser Leaves WWE match between Meanie and Simon with the bWo there to support Meanie (sans Nova of course). They could say Nova called them and had car troubles. In the end, Stevie helps Simon win and Simon reveals that Nova's secret identity was.......Simon Dean. That could have gotten Meanie out of WWE like they wanted, could have provided some interesting segments, and formed a tag team in Richards and Simon Dean.
Silence Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 Doug Basham has been heel his entire stay too... BY THE WAY WHERE THE FUCK IS THE BASH MAN?! He hasn't even been on Velocity in weeks, and I'm starting to get really worried. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Could be another release from WWE if they don't decide to put Doug back on Velocity anytime soon. Sad, too, because he's always been the better Basham. BTW, why has WWE shortened CCC's name to just "Carlito" for a few months now? Did they think "Carlito Caribbean Cool" was too long?
Quit Calling My Mama Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 http://shopzone.wwe.com/Product_detail.asp...ductId=02-00452 ^^ this works great.
Guest clockworkraven Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 I have a feeling there'd be less complaints about that tattoo than the other one.
Guest FromBeyondTheGrave Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 BY THE WAY WHERE THE FUCK IS THE BASH MAN?! He's been down in Kentucky for the last two OVW TV tapings. On the Sep/29th taping he defeated CM Punk. Afterwards, he put Punk over on the mic, and offered his hand for a handshake, but Punk refused. At the next taping on Oct/5th, they had a rematch, this time Punk defeated Basham.
Ultra Violence Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 BTW, why has WWE shortened CCC's name to just "Carlito" for a few months now? Did they think "Carlito Caribbean Cool" was too long? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> JR kept calling him Carribean Cool Carlito so they decided it was too complicated for him and shortened it.
Dark Age Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 Punk/Basham sounds cool. How good were the matches?
Guest FromBeyondTheGrave Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 Punk/Basham sounds cool. How good were the matches? I don't know, I live in Ireland, my girlfriend who lives in Kentucky tells me what happens at the OVW tapings. She said the Punk/Basham matches were "awesome", but she's not the best at rating matches. Also, "The Boogey Man" returned at the last OVW TV tapings. I guess he'll be on Smackdown, soon.
Spaceman Spiff Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 I have a feeling there'd be less complaints about that tattoo than the other one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The other one is bad-ass.

Did they think "Carlito Caribbean Cool" was too long? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> JR kept calling him Carribean Cool Carlito so they decided it was too complicated for him and shortened it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They shortnened it long before he came to Raw. I think the change came when he was injured. They thought the name was too long to get the point across so they simply started calling hom Carlito.

claydude14 Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Does Smackdown! use the old school steel cage as a background????
Black Lushus Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 BTW, why has WWE shortened CCC's name to just "Carlito" for a few months now? EDIT: didn't Ric Flair refer to him by his real last name, "Colon" (sp?), this past monday or was I hearing things?
alfdogg Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Just got tickets for SD in Indy on 11/8. Judging by the poorly detailed map the girl showed me, I'll be sitting facing the entranceway.
Epic Reine Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 On the subject or Carlito's name, why not just call him Carlito Colon? It's been mentioned many times on TV that he's Carlos Colon's son and it's not like Carlos was a major star in the states or anything so he won't be living off his name. btw, do Dave Finley and Dave Taylor still work for WWE?
Spaceman Spiff Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Finlay does. Don't think Taylor does, though.
Guest Edgehead Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Why does Undertaker insist on having his opponents only win if there is an unclean finish? Is he saving that one match where he totally puts his opponent over when he can see someone who is the real deal?
Dark Age Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 What the Hell is that thing flying around the ring during the ONO match between Bret and Taker? I'm watching the Taker DVD now, and I don't see it, but it reminded me to mention this. Wow that thing is big. Is it a bird that managed to get inside, or is the biggest damn moth this world has ever seen? If that's a moth, then I would be gone so fast.
The Niggardly King Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 I just visted the DVDR boards... my head hurts.
claydude14 Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 I had a nightmare that WWE created a Legends title and gave them their own Diva like division on Smackdown! It started when Chavo Classic came back and won the cruserweight title and threw it down.
devo Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but on a commercial for RAW, USA has the audacity to claim that ten million people watched the homecoming show. Can't tell where the hell they pulled that number from...
claydude14 Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Original Broadcast + Friday night replay + RAW A.M ? Pure speculation. RAW A.M ended up just being a clipped RAW with a ticker at the bottom from what I saw of it. They started with Edge/Hardy.
Art Sandusky Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 So I finally saw that Steve Romero dude or whatever new interviewer people kept talking about of whom I had no memory tonight on the PPV. Guy actually sounded like a sports announcer, it was neat. Fuck all'a y'all, I'd wear Jillian out. Not like I have a propensity for facerubs or licking cheeks. That "growth" could easily be avoided. Of course, all of this is contigent on not being able to remove the stage makeup. Fun moment at the sports bar was when this massively unappealing and large woman kept ragging on Jillian for her boob job and saying how ugly she was.
