devo 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 Terrific game and just a magnificent performance from the Mets over the entire series. Virtually the entire team looks great going into the NLCS. I'm really relieved that they closed it out tonight, as sending Oliver Perez out there in Game 4 could have been damn ugly. I've still got a few concerns about this rotation stretched over a seven-game series, but with the way the offense and defense continually came through over the past few days, I don't think possibly shaky starting pitching alone is enough to sink this ship. Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 well, the Mets proved me wrong, I really thought the Dodgers would push them to the edge and maybe even had their number. The Mets rallied around the losses of Pedro and El Duque and played great baseball. Personally, I like Willie and Omar and a lot of the Mets players, but I just can't root for the Mets.
