Slayer Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 did Drew just think he was going to sneak in there?
Slayer Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Oh yeah, Sean Green to Paul LoDuca... I wonder if Dodger fans can appreciate that irony
CanadianChris Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 When did Dale Sveum become the Dodgers' third-base coach?
The Man in Blak Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Is the third base coach narcoleptic? Oh yeah, Sean Green to Paul LoDuca... I wonder if Dodger fans can appreciate that irony Paging Bill Plaschke, paging Bill Plaschke...
Slayer Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 So, is LoDuca Mike Piazza Jr.? I mean, not only does he kinda look like him, but he's followed the same damn career path (LA to Florida to NY)
Guest NYankees Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Delgado and Floyd go back to back.
naiwf Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Why is Grady Little using/planning to use Brad Penny in relief?
naiwf Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Valentin just screwed the pooch. Instead of one out and Reyes healthy, we've got the tying run at the plate for LA and Reyes got spiked.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Apparently the strikezone dips down to the ankles now.
Guest Felonies! Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Brad Penny is making his "3rd career reliefe appearance" according to the graphics wizards at ESPN.
CanadianChris Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Do they REALLY need to show us the two same clip packages every 30 minutes? Did everyone forget that Showalter got fired and Hunter fucked up in that time?
Bruiser Chong Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Do they REALLY need to show us the two same clip packages every 30 minutes? Did everyone forget that Showalter got fired and Hunter fucked up in that time? Yes. I was in class all afternoon, so this was my first chance to see the Hunter play.
Brett Favre Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 True, same here. I wish they'd show the Lo Duca tag outs play again. I saw the replay once, but one more couldn't hurt.
Annabelle Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 when the pinch hit lugo for hendrickson, they should have left him in as the second basement for kent. that would have been smart.
NYU Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 And, in a shock to nobody, Billy Wagner gets on the mound and immediately gives up a double. Even Benitez usually waited to get the first out before he started giving up base hits.
The Man in Blak Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Jump cut to the nervous children!
Guest NYankees Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 I thought the Mets had the best bullpen in baseball and that Billy Wagner should be the Cy Young because nobody else in the NL deserved it. Nosemar Errorciaparra strikes out like a little bitch to end the game.
NYU Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Wagner has just been awful in these tense situations all season and he doesn't get nearly enough shit for it.
Brett Favre Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Los Angeles Red Sox down 1-0. Please let him stop using Enter Sandman.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Wow, people are still caring about the use of a song? And how could Nomar strike out against a schmuck like Billy Whateverhisnameis? You guys are priceless.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Nosemar Errorciaparra Oh, Anglesault. Lolz.
Guest Felonies! Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 HE'S NOT FUCKING ANGLESAULT IT'S THE DON HOW MANY FUCKING TIMES YOU GUYS
devo Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Great game. The offense actually produced more runs than I expected, and the pitching wasn't the catastrophe it was being made out to be. Although he was extraordinarily lucky, Maine was still very effective for the 4.1 innings he was out there. The bullpen micromanagement was a little too LaRussaesque for my tastes, but I can see how it was necessary in this contest. And, of course, Delgado had a historically good first postseason game, hitting against the shift twice to get hits. I don't think the importance of the Mets winning here can be understated, as they face a lefty starter tomorrow and Maddux in LA on Saturday. I just have no idea what to expect from Kuo; did he blank the Mets earlier in the year because he was a lefty that the Mets had never seen before, or because he's really really talented? We'll find out soon enough, I suppose.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 HE'S NOT FUCKING ANGLESAULT IT'S THE DON HOW MANY FUCKING TIMES YOU GUYS It doesn't matter when one thinks up names like that.
Brett Favre Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Eric Byrnes is interesting to listen to.
Cheech Tremendous Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Wagner has just been awful in these tense situations all season and he doesn't get nearly enough shit for it. Yes, it is about time we start giving more shit to guys with an ERA+ of 195, a K/BB ratio of 94/21 and a 95% save conversion rate. That's downright awful.
