devo Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 Terrific game and just a magnificent performance from the Mets over the entire series. Virtually the entire team looks great going into the NLCS. I'm really relieved that they closed it out tonight, as sending Oliver Perez out there in Game 4 could have been damn ugly. I've still got a few concerns about this rotation stretched over a seven-game series, but with the way the offense and defense continually came through over the past few days, I don't think possibly shaky starting pitching alone is enough to sink this ship. Let's go Mets!
Guest Smues Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 I don't like either team so I didn't really care who won this series, but I kind of wished the Dodgers would have won because I think they'd be less likely to go all the way. Go Cardinals/Padres.
naiwf Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 Let's go Padres! *clap clap clap clap clap*
bob_barron Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 Dodgers are done. Furcal's building a nice reputation of being worthless in the postseason, no? Raffy was great in the 04 LDS
Precious Roy Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 well, the Mets proved me wrong, I really thought the Dodgers would push them to the edge and maybe even had their number. The Mets rallied around the losses of Pedro and El Duque and played great baseball. Personally, I like Willie and Omar and a lot of the Mets players, but I just can't root for the Mets. This reduces me to rooting for the Tigers or A's. Can't wait for this world series Oh well, at least the Knicks will be good this year.
Darthtiki Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 Dear Paul DePodesta: Thanks to your tenure as Dodger GM, we now have a soon-to-be NL Champ team Sincerely, The New York Mets While I'm glad that the Dodgers did come back and make it to the playoffs, I'm still pissed that they couldn't manage to even win one game.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 At least DePodesta won a playoff game.
Dobbs 3K Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 I was hoping the Dodgers would pull out a win, but I don't mind the Mets. Just as long as the Cards (assuming they beat the Padres) don't win the NLCS, I'll be happy.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 I am so sick of people complaining about that stupid Lo Duca trade. He's gotta be the most overrated player in baseball.
