Guest Princess Leena Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 I didn't think you were that large... geez.
The Man in Blak Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Is Piniella worse than McCarver at constantly talking yet not adding a thing. If you pair up Piniella with the right play-by-play guy, he can actually be informative, despite sounding like Chief Wiggum at times. As for the actual game...well, this is the Oakland I thought would show up for the Minnesota series. As Bruiser said earlier, if they can't put together some timely hitting, this may be a very short series.
Cheech Tremendous Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 I'm going for the A's, mainly because of Frank Thomas. One of my favorite players growing up, I would like to see him earn a ring. It'll go nicely with the one he got last year.
Slayer Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Well, technically he didn't earn that one.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Is there any interest in a live chat tonight?
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Frank Thomas did play a little last year. As far as I'm concerned, he earned his White Sox championship ring with that and all the years he played for the organization. I'd love to see him win it "for real" though, as some may say, with Oakland.
NoCalMike Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 And the A's get their pitching and error-riddled inning out of the way and hey, it only costs them 5 goddamn runs and the lead.......*ugh*
NoCalMike Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 A's continue to leave runners on and in scoring position with less than 2 outs....depressing.
NoCalMike Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 ...and just like that the A's are basically down two games to none.
Bored Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Well sweeping the Twins was fun. This...not so much.
Slayer Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Watch Game 1 against NY be Detroit's only loss in the postseason
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 A little trivia. The Tigers have gone the longest of any MLB franchise without LOSING a World Series. They're 3-0 since their 1940 loss to the Cincinnati Reds.
dh86 Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 I would have never in life imagined alexis gomez driving in 4 rbis...this is really looking like a magical season for us
Bored Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Macha is driving me nuts right now. What the hell is he saving Duchscherer for? They can't afford to give up another run yet he doesn't go with his best middle reliever in the late innings. This team is toast if they don't win tonight and he's managing like its the middle of May.

Guest Princess Leena Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 I believe the plan is to pitch Zumaya in the 8th.
Brett Favre Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 I'm calling it. Four runs in the ninth.
naiwf Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 If Big Hurt gets into one, I think Jones loses his job as closer.
dh86 Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 that shit had my heart racing...im glad Frank is getting his A-Rod on this series
