NFL Week 7

Anybody else enjoying the week-to-week downfall of Nick Saban?

I am. With Oakland's "big" win today, Miami might just be the worst team in the league right now.

In case you're wondering, this week he blamed it on the players, saying he doesn't know how to coach a bunch of mess-ups.

I know my aunt sure does. She still hasn't forgiven him for leaving Michigan State.

Worse than Arizona? They blew a big lead twice in a row then lost to the team everyone pegged as the first 0-16 team ever.

Would you have Cutler play now, or would you hedge your bets and wait until Plummer starts sucking so bad he costs the team games?

Hard to say. I think they need to stick with Plummer right now, and that's from someone who was praying for Cutler to start as recently as three weeks ago. If they were 3-3 instead of 5-1, different story, but I think they're better off with a veteran at QB as long as they have a shot at a top seed in the AFC. Hopefully, they can keep Plummer playing like Trent Dilfer while the defence makes like the 2000 Ravens.

Plus, I don't think Cutler is any more likely than Plummer to beat the teams they have to play next month.

Once Arizona muffed that game last week I think a lot of people could have foreseen this one as a "hangover game". Oakland had no expectations coming into '06. Miami is coached by a "genius" and was supposed to go to the Super Bowl this year, and the only thing they'll be competing for in the 2nd half of the season is how high their draft pick will be. Miami has more talent than the other two teams. The Dolphins have earned every bit of their 1-6 record.

Arizona can't beat teams with zeros in their records

Arizona can't beat teams with numbers in their records

Man, it's really setting in that we're gonna hear about Michael Vick's great athleticism all week. Fucking Steelers.

Seahawks post-Hasselbeck injury was depressing. They couldn't get anything going. The fans were shocked. They had nothing left. Without Matt or Shaun, they have no offensive production capabilities.

If Matt's out for multiple games, then Seahawk's are fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked.

Matt has a sprained MCL, so that means he's gone for two weeks probably, but Alexander should be back next week.

I have plenty of confidence in Seneca Wallace though.

Fatass Menafee has been butchering pop culture references and sports name for years in the NYC area. I have no idea how he's kept a job this long.

Big Ben and Hasselbeck going down in the same week as both of their teams lose is an adequate trade for the slurping Vick will receive for the next 7 days, 6 if you count that Tuesday will be T.O. day regardless of what he does tomorrow night.

How long will this year's Colts team go undefeated before blowing the big game in the postseason? I haven't looked at the schedule but I'll say they go 11-0 before finishing 13-3 or 14-2 and losing to the Pats or Chargers at home.

Historically speaking, if Indy lucks out and avoids playing teams outside the AFC West in the playoffs, they should make it into the superbowl. I think it's time for Peyton to choke on a grander stage anyways, enough of these AFC Title game collapses.

He didn't even make it to the AFC Title game for his last two playoff collapses

Ugh, I was going to go with the Jets all week, but backed out to take the "safe" pick with JAX. I know to never pick road teams, but didn't trust my instinct. Oh well.

Come to think of it, he's only been to one AFC title game.

I'm of the mindset that if they weren't going to get it done last year, that was it.

"They keep losing because they have to go on the road. If they had HFA, they'd make the SB easily"

Colts: "Okay!" *get HFA, then one-and-done*

The problem with the Colts is that they seem to think "Ok, its the big time. Let's start passing like crazy!". The teams that makes the postseason are going to have good defenses, and they are going to key in on Peyton every time unless they prove them otherwise.

How could you hold Marc Bulger to 200 yards passing but give up 400 to Joey Harrington?!

Didn't Joey throw for a Dolphins record 63 passing attempts? I mean when you throw that much, your bound to get 300+ or 400+ yards passing. I didn't watch the game because I was at work but it looks like the Defense played a little bit better, I could be wrong, I'm just judging by the 3 interceptions.

And originally on my eliminator pool, I picked Arizona over Oakland but then switched last night to Jacksonville over Houston. So either way I was screwed. Oh well.

Season isn't even part of the way over and the Cardinals have already given up on things. Hope Denny is packing his bags cause he just signed his death warrant in Arizona with the loss today.
