Karnage Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 http://news.aol.com/entertainment/tv/artic...104090209990001 LOS ANGELES (Nov. 4) - Neil Patrick Harris is gay and wants to quell any rumors to the contrary. "(I) am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest," Harris tells People magazine's Web site. The 33-year-old actor said he was motivated to disclose his sexuality because of recent "speculation and interest in my private life and relationships." Harris stars on the CBS comedy "How I Met Your Mother." He started on TV as a teen, playing the namesake doctor on the series "Doogie Howser, M.D."
MrRant Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 You should have titled this thread "Who wants to cornhole Doogie Howser?"
Vampiro69 Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 What recent speculation? I never heard anything about people questioning his sexuality.
Yuna_Firerose Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Amusing how stars these days will use the gay card to gain attention when their own careers fail them. Amusing... and sad.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 He's on a really popular TV show and is ironically idolized by college students for his goofy-ass role in Harold and Kumar. I don't think he's playing the "gay card." Kind of a dumb thought.
Gary Floyd Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Amusing how stars these days will use the gay card to gain attention when their own careers fail them. Amusing... and sad. I dunno. Dudes on a high-rated sitcom right now.
bob_barron Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Amusing how stars these days will use the gay card to gain attention when their own careers fail them. Amusing... and sad. Amusing and sad- Neil Patrick Harris has a critical acclaim on a popular sitcom. Neil Patrick Harris has been out for years
King Kamala Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 This really isn't surprising to me for some reason. The episode of Doogie Howser where he loses his virginity to a woman weren't convincing enough dammit!
razazteca Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Amusing how stars these days will use the gay card to gain attention when their own careers fail them. Amusing... and sad. Would anybody buy into a fake hollywood marriage to someone like say Reese Witherspoon?
Gary Floyd Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 I'll never look at his scene in "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle" the same way again.
Richard Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 I guess they have to change the show name to "How I met your other father."
SuperJerk Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Neil Patrick Harris has been out for years ???????
bob_barron Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Yea, I've known he was gay for a while.
SuperJerk Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Yea, I've known he was gay for a while. How?
tominator89 Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 I'll never look at his scene in "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle" the same way again. Yeah really. Especially considering he was the best part of that movie.
Richard Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Yea, I've known he was gay for a while. How? Never doubt the A list. Harris, Neil Patrick. FOD. Too bad I can't find a more recent version.
SuperJerk Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Better question. Why does it matter? It shouldn't, but I still want to know how Bob knew.
Gary Floyd Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Come on guys, how could this man possibly be gay?
bob_barron Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Better question. Why does it matter? It shouldn't, but I still want to know how Bob knew. I've just heard about it for a while, especially when he was on Broadway doing Rent.
strummer Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 I'll never look at his scene in "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle" the same way again. I don't know if this is bad or not, but that's the first thing I thought of when I heard the news

Gary Floyd Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 NPH is still awesome. Oh, no doubt about it. His role in "Starship Troopers" as a psychic nazi was great.
The Niggardly King Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Oh god, now I remember an interview about him talking about how much ass he got just from being Doogie Howser
Red Baron Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 My friend is going to be crushed once he hears this. He idolizes Doogie Howser.
CanadianGuitarist Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 My friend is going to be crushed once he hears this. He idolizes Doogie Howser. Chiu? I just broke the news to him..he's denying, I'm laughing. "Doogie Howser just stole our fucking car! And took it to the bathhouse!" Sometimes those director's cuts are pretty in-depth.
