CanadianChris Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 "We're the best 2-9 team in the league."
Black Lushus Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 does it look super cloudy in Ford Field or is it just my TV?
MFer Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 The Detroit Lions have now officially hit a new low in a half-century worth of them.
razazteca Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Is Tony Romo that good or is the Bucs defense that bad?
CanadianChris Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Is Tony Romo that good or is the Bucs defense that bad? I think he's that good, because the Bucs' D isn't that bad. You can't say every team saves their worst defensive effort for Dallas -- gotta start giving credit to Romo. It's funny that this is the second "unknown" QB to set the league on fire after replacing Drew Bledsoe. Too bad the Bills couldn't get that lucky with his replacement there.

Guest Princess Leena Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 5 TD passes. Damn. And Marion Barber remains the biggest WTF player in fantasy football.
snuffbox Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 As foul as it is, the Cowboys/Romo are for real.
Hogan Made Wrestling Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 Anyone else love that John Madden parody on FOX before the game? The video game line in particular was great.
The Man in Blak Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 The NFL sure got this one right... Tom Nalen was fined $25K by the league for diving at Igor Olshansky's knees during a spike play on the Broncos' final drive Sunday, while Olshansky was fined only $10K for throwing a punch at Nalen that drew a personal foul and an ejection. I saw the replay of that incident, and it was disgusting. Nalen should have been suspended for that. I can't even condone that from someone on my favourite team. The Broncos have been cut blocking for years - why would you be disgusted now?
razazteca Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 Marion Barber remains the biggest WTF player in fantasy football. The biggest disappointment has to be the Cowboys kicker who goes wide right for every field goal attempt no matter the distance its like he graduated from FSU.

CanadianChris Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 I want Jay Cutler in NOW. I've seen way too much of Jake Plummer.
Red Baron Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 Is it just me or is the PBP announcer for the NFL network sounds like he should be doing local events like PeeWee football. He's bad.
Guest Princess Leena Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 Yeah, NFL Network really needs to dump Bryant Gumbel from PBP. He obviously isn't the most intelligent concerning football, and his nasally Kermit the Frog voice just isn't good. He's making me like that smug prick Collinsworth.
Guest Princess Leena Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 I want Jay Cutler in NOW. I've seen way too much of Jake Plummer. Indeed. But you know that rat Shanahan is gonna keep Plummer. This whole planning to start Cutler, just after this game, seems like bull to me.
CanadianChris Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 This whole planning to start Cutler, just after this game, seems like bull to me. I actually said that's what they should do, since it wouldn't be very smart to start Cutler on a short week, when they only have three days of practice to get him ready. Next week, though, no excuses.
MFer Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 We need an "OWNED!!!" (PWNED?) pic of Romo's ex-girlfriend.
Slayer Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 It's funny that this is the second "unknown" QB to set the league on fire after replacing Drew Bledsoe. Too bad the Bills couldn't get that lucky with his replacement there. You have to replace Drew midseason to get that magic push. Also, I was at the Chiefs-Broncos game last night. The Broncos are even less fun to watch in person than they are on TV
Guest Paul Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 Giants need a big win tomorrow to set up for their 12/3 showdown with Dallas. If everything continues as is, Romo will tear them up.
CanadianChris Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 ESPN is reporting that Jay Cutler will start the rest of the way for Denver this season. PRAISE JEEBUS!
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 Ravens are pretty much manhandling the Steelers on both sides of the football. 14-0 almost to the end of the 2nd qtr.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 Charlie Batch sighting in Baltimore after Bart Scott sacked Big Ben and nearly buried him into the ground.
CanadianChris Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 Ron Mexico is 46 yards away from breaking his own single-game rushing record for QBs, with four minutes still remaining in the first half. The Falcons might actually be winning this game if he wasn't also 5/12 passing for 23 yards.
2GOLD Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 ESPN is reporting that Jay Cutler will start the rest of the way for Denver this season. PRAISE JEEBUS! And if Cutler chokes it'll be YOU BETRAYED US JEEBUS!

And if Cutler chokes it'll be YOU BETRAYED US JEEBUS! No. It really couldn't be any worse with Cutler than what Plummer is giving them. I'll take whatever he does happily, since this season is shaping up to be either a first-round exit or a non-playoff year entirely the way things are now.
Hawk 34 Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 People in Denver don't remember what it's really like to struggle with a really bad QB. You had Elway for years, a cup of coffee with Griese and Plummer, whom was good enough despite Denver fans insisting that it was an illusion. All in all, remained a perennial playoff team. You could do entirely worse then Jake Plummer. Put in Brooks, Bledsoe, Fielder, Griese(again), either of the Detmers or any of the tons of worthless back-ups that never measured up to anything and you'd be begging for Plummer again.

Actually, I think Cutler could end up doing pretty damn good. He played in college with little to no talent around him and looked pretty strong. Now he has plenty of talent around him and could and should excel.
CanadianChris Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 WHAT A CATCH on the Hail Mary by Terrence Copper for the Saints. Someone forgot to tell the Falcon defenders that YOUGOTTAKNOCKITDOWN!!!
The Robfather Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 Damn, the Saints got lucky there
