Wylie's 21 3s beat Jeff Clement's 19 3-pointers for Division III Grinnell against Illinois College on Feb. 18, 1998. Division II Troy has the all-time NCAA record with 258 points against DeVry, Ga., on Jan. 12, 1992. The margin of victory for Lincoln also was an NCAA record. If there was an independent out there that could go 25-3 or something like that, they'd probably get a look from the committee for a bid, especially if they had a marquee win as big as Marquette. It's just that most independents tend to go 6-20 or so, and never even get a second thought. Next season, NDSU joins the Mid-Continent Conference, which they should dominate. This should help offset the fact that LSU lost to Wichita State earler this season. It seems like every year Bama is always in the top 10-15 somewhere and they aren't ever worth a shit (and yes, I know they made the Elite 8 in 2004 but that was a total fluke). Notre Dame could be a really good team this year though. I thought they were really good last year but simply could not win a game against anyone. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2006 In teams that matter to me news: Delaware coach Monte Ross is off to a horrible start in his first season, starting 0-7. I cannot believe how badly this program has collapsed since Brey left but I am still hopefully Ross can turn it around next season. Hopefully he can rebound, he lost two big men to start the season and it's going to be very hard to recover. He's got a nice class of guys coming in and he knows how to recruit that Philly area so who knows. Florida State is 7-2 with a huge win over Florida. Tucker is one of the 5 best players in the country and, now, they finally have a solid big-guy presence in Brian Butch. Very well coached, plenty of talent, well rounded, tough. I figured Wisconsin would beat Pitt today. It's not like Pitt has played anyone that could be considered decent. Get Wisconsin away from their insane home court and they are pretty average though.
