Art Sandusky Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 I'd love if a "contract signing" being hyped was just a couple of clips of the wrestlers in regular clothes (read: Zoobas and fanny packs) sitting in a lawyer's office and signing a contract. It ends with them shaking hands and leaving the office. How many of these have we had in the last year alone in WWE? Three or four?
Art Sandusky Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 I'm sure someday WWE will do something more stupid, but I doubt they can come up with anything crapyer in just a week. Remember the entire MONTH that was the Katie Vick angle?
Scroby Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Raw will kick off with a Cena/Umaga contract signing. see, it just got worse.

Remember the entire MONTH that was the Katie Vick angle? Yeah, but the only thing they could worse than last week at this point is to have a Rosie-Trump rematch that goes 10 min. The Katie Vick stuff had a build, last week was just an orgasim of shit.
Dobbs 3K Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 I'd love if a "contract signing" being hyped was just a couple of clips of the wrestlers in regular clothes (read: Zoobas and fanny packs) sitting in a lawyer's office and signing a contract. It ends with them shaking hands and leaving the office. How many of these have we had in the last year alone in WWE? Three or four? The signing for the first Flair-Hogan match in WCW was almost like that. They were both wearing normal clothes (well, Flair was in a suit, I'm sure Hogan was wearing something red and yellow) and Ted Turner was there. They almost got in a fight, and Turner said "Save it for the show!" or something like that.
Downhome Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 I hate most "contract signings". There have been a few over the years that I enjoyed, like the Hogan/Flair signing in WCW (Ted Turner himself was involved), but come on, that was an absolute huge match. It's things like that which deserve the "signing" to be televised. I mean, Cena/Umaga? Why not just book a Batista/Kennedy signing while we're at it. Do they not sign contracts for every other match anymore? Why is Cena/Umaga special enough to have it on TV? Umaga isn't even undefeated anymore, so they don't even have that to go on now. EDIT: See, this is how they should be done:
The Amazing Rando Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Downhome screen-capped that just now from his massive underground library.
TheFranchise Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Guys.. The Champ Is Here, and The Time Is Now.
Downhome Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 I wish they'd have Umaga just act totally normal and calm, and shake Cena's hand and act like a real pro. He should also be in a suit.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Contract Signing! Cena vs Umaga! Yay
The Amazing Rando Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 "John Cena, I Got A Real Marine" sign
TheFranchise Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Last Man Standing match. I thought he was going to say ladder match.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Now we get to see John Cena's "psycho" face.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Last Man Standing match. I thought he was going to say ladder match. They should use a rope ladder. Sure, you can't really use it as a weapon, but the spots on it could be fun.
daileyxplanet Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 I would have Cena refuse to sign.
Spaceman Spiff Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Umaga sporting his formal black tights.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 I would have Cena refuse to sign. "I want a Texas Brass Knuckles Match! Get me Bull Curry!!"
Downhome Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Ugh. Why do they always have Cena kick Umaga's ass? What reason do they give anyone to care about the match, or the "danger" that Umaga is in? Doesn't Cena beat the hell out of Umaga almost every single time? And when he doesn't, he just runs him off like a coward?
Aero Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Apparently it just takes a step shot to beat Umaga in a last man standing match.

TheFranchise Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 So Cena's keeping the belt. ..right?
The Amazing Rando Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 So Cena's keeping the belt. ..right? I can honestly see Cena pulling a Foley and pinning Umaga down somehow so he can't get up.

I'm getting more and more pissed off with RAW, ECW, and the recent PPV shows (TNA's show last night also) here lately. Thank God Smackdown has been there to keep me sane lately.

Maybe Umaga watched Final Resolution LIVE ON PAY PER VIEW and decided to just stay down like AJ Styles did.

The Great Khali comes out to help Umaga, but Cena pulls his usual bullshit tricks and knocks out Khali. He does the FU to Khali onto Umaga, and the weight of Khali keeps Umaga down for the 10.

UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 I'm the one w/ the massive WCW library. BTW, JR and King speaking out loud as the voice of the fans in regards to Cena's title match, "HOW IS THAT FAIR?" is so lame. Jesus, as if the Cena/Umaga match wasn't bad enough at NYR, now you have another Cena win at Rumble.
TheFranchise Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 Punk must be loving Maria and Jeff.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 At least CM Punk doesn't need to worry about...
