That's probably Gina's best so far... although, she did sound off somewhat and died at the end. But, I'm loving the wardrobe. That might be enough to keep her around... black girls are in trouble.

Stage presence head and shoulders above the rest of these girls. Although, I do have to disagree, I think LaKisha will survive, simply on the fact that she knocked out a Whitney song after weeks of hearing them butchered. I think strategically she played that one right, and will garner some votes for that. Antonella and Haley pack their shit and leave, though.

It's amusing to keep her around when there are a plethora of tedious and dull singers to eliminate, but now it's down to the supposedly real people. Time to go bye bye. And as I figured, Haley will be toast. She got the most vicious Simon treatment yet. Gotta love it. That said, I'm really starting to think Gina Glocksen could be a dark horse in this thing. Let's face it, there are a bunch of black girls in this and they all do pretty much the same R & B stuff (aside from Jordin Sparks, who attempted Pat Benatar tonight). It's not even that I think Gina is all that amazing really, but she certainly has something different about her and is the only one doing mainly rock songs. Not saying she will win, but she can stay until near the end.

Her name is Melinda Doolittle, she has these teddy bear eyes, she rocks the power suit, and she is retarded enough on stage (yet oddly polished) that I am beggin for a Hicks/Doolittle duet (yes, mainly for the jab at rednecks that the name presents). And while she is not drop dead gorgeous, she's not unpleasant to look at... you know.... Unlike some other gloriously gifted singers in this competition. Though this whole meek/lacks confidence thing is clearly an act.
naiwf Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Right now dialidol has the Melinda/Lakisha/Gina trio safe. # 4-8 are all pretty much interchangeable, but the bottom 2 at this moment are Stephanie & Sabrina. If both Antonella and Haley survive I'll be pretty pissed. I don't think voting is entirely closed since I'm not sure Hawaii and Alaska have watched yet.

godthedog Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Has anyone else noticed that Doolittle has no neck? i was just noticing that last night. at the end of her number, i half expected her to start squinting and say, "he who approaches the bridge of death must answer me these questions three." also, her enunciation on that song was incredible. there's a lot of words you have to mash together in a very short span of time on those lines, and i didn't lose a single word she said. and she did it effortlessly without losing any of the emoting required. it's like if the micro machines guy could sing.

I never would have guessed that I'd be disappointed when both Antonella & Sundance got taken out simply because Haley & Sanjaya survived. I think this was easily the most retarded set of cutdowns from 24 to 12 in AI history.

Not the greatest voice but she at least stands out from the black girls who mainly do R & B songs. I can't believe Haley survived after that ungodly trashing Simon gave her. Did she get sympathy votes due to that? Or "this chick is hot" votes? Or maybe "there are too many black girls, let's vote for a white girl" votes? Cause that Sabrina chick got robbed. I also can't believe that Phil douchebag advanced. He was positively dreadful the other night. Sundance might be cheesy but he's at least notable.

This is the week where it usually appears AI eliminates who they want from the Top 12... and Haley was the last real Barbie. And they surely didn't want Barba to stay...
