Mik Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 Does anybody else order/buy from here? Basically people submit art designs, people vote on them, and they make limited edition t-shirts. Sometimes they are pretty weird but they add about 8-10 shirts a week so usually there is something pretty great. Here are the ones I have: http://www.threadless.com/product/68/She_Doesnt_Even_Realize http://www.threadless.com/product/59/Bleeding_Heart http://www.threadless.com/product/453/Pess...c_or_Optimistic http://www.threadless.com/product/467/You_...Splaining_To_Do http://www.threadless.com/product/684/Birds_The_Bees Anybody else have any?
The Amazing Rando Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 I picked up Para Poppins, and a link has been in my sig for like two weeks. I want the Pessimist/Optimist and White Milk/Chocolate Baby ones...but I need to wait till I have a bit more cash. It also sucks that it takes like three weeks for delivery.
Craig Th Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 I like tshirthell.com better, but these look pretty good.
Hank Kingsley Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 I love Threadless. I have: (my favorite) I'm pissed that I missed out on getting Pandamonium by a few hours.
Hank Kingsley Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 I do hate the models on the site, though.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 They aren't models...or at least, most of them aren't. They ask people to take pictures of themselves in the shirt and send it to them.
Guest heyimbro Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 I think it's gotten too popular recently.. but I still order from them. I have: - The Communist Party - The Outdoor Mix - Pandamonium - Lost A Wheel - Rock Out With Your Cock Out I missed out on Ctrl+Z during the $10 sale, and I was kind of pissed.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 I only found out about it because I was searching for a "You Have Died Of Dysentery" shirt that wasn't the odd large-lettered ones.
Mik Posted January 22, 2007 Author Report Posted January 22, 2007 I found it through Maxim doing a piece on them about 3 months ago. I'm sure that brought in a lot of business. In terms of "too popular" - that's probably more perceived than reality because the only people I know that know what the heck threadless is are the people I've told. There are probably 10 or so shirts on the site that I want but I'm gonna hold off and order them at staggered intervals. The only problem is you never know if they'll still be around or not in a little while.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 I'm pissed that I missed out on getting Pandamonium by a few hours. It would perhaps be cruel to tell you what shirt I'm wearing at this very moment. Therefore, I won't. I like some of the designs a whole lot, some less so. The fit's great on all their stuff, though.
PUT THAT DICK IN MY MOUTH! Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 I try my best not to look like a total hipster doofus, so I tend to steer clear of Threadless.
Garth Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 I try my hardest to look like a hipster, so I try to buy t-shirts from Threadless when ever I have the cash. I have:
Toshiaki Koala Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 I try my best not to look like a total hipster doofus, so I tend to steer clear of Threadless. Man, you knew that was coming. Was the Goatse shirt unwittingly featured in Time magazine from Threadless? I'm pretty sure it was... that gets them big-time points in my book.
Mik Posted January 26, 2007 Author Report Posted January 26, 2007 Me rocking some threadless... I was caught by surprise a little.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 An ex-girlfriend of mine had that same exact shirt. She has bigger tits, though.
Mik Posted January 31, 2007 Author Report Posted January 31, 2007 Got these two today: http://www.threadless.com/product/730/Advisors and... http://www.threadless.com/product/693/I_Want_To_Be_Friends I really wanted the Advisors shirt and I wanted a second one to save on shipping. I had a hard time picking because while I liked a bunch of them - none of them jumped out as an obvious purchase.
Hank Kingsley Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Yeah, all the great stuff is always out of print.
Toshiaki Koala Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 I requested a reprint of the Goatse shirt. No luck.
Hank Kingsley Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 It'll happen eventually. I requested the Communist party and it took several months, but I finally got an email about it and snatched that mother up.
Hank Kingsley Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Nice! One of my favorite designs, The Biblical Disaster, just got reprinted.
Mik Posted February 5, 2007 Author Report Posted February 5, 2007 I want that and the moon milk one but I can't exactly go around buying 2 shirts a week from the site. I gotta get that bible/unicorn one, though. EDIT: Ahhhh, screw it. http://www.threadless.com/product/368/Biblical_Disaster http://www.threadless.com/product/744/Star..._in_Moon_s_Milk Hopefully they have a few more weeks in a row where they produce a bunch of shirts I don't like.
Hank Kingsley Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Yeah, so I bought Biblical Disaster and this one that I found and loved: Party Pieces
Mik Posted February 6, 2007 Author Report Posted February 6, 2007 I like that one too. I narrowed it down to that and the one with all the text on my last purchase. Nice choice.
Mik Posted February 20, 2007 Author Report Posted February 20, 2007 I can't help myself. I have a threadless sickness. http://www.threadless.com/product/376/Tech...gy_Ruins_Nature http://www.threadless.com/product/758/Hrududu_The_New_Guy
Mik Posted March 6, 2007 Author Report Posted March 6, 2007 $10 sale going on noWii I bought 10 shirts so I'm not going to list them all but they are all on sale so go and buy if you're interested.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Autoreplace has wreaked havoc on Dr. Mik's well-intentioned spelling.
Hoff Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Anyone a fan of the similar but more vulgar Tshirthell.com? I used to like a lot of their stuff, but lately it all seems overly political and/or designed for shock value. I'm curious what other people think.
Hank Kingsley Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Yeah, tshirthell is retarded, threadless is just good fun.
Boner Kawanger Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 I prefer Unetee. Just about the same concept, so check it out.
