RepoMan Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 That fan looked more bored than concerned.
Exslade ZX Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Ok, that was just a fucking awesome visual. HBK with the angry look, and Orton just coming up out of nowhere.
Hawk 34 Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I'm calling Edge and Orton drawing together and finding out that Orton drew #1 and Edge drew #30. Well, # 1 and # 30 both drew their numbers together at the past two Rumbles..... Rey was #2, actually.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Itd have been funny if HBK wound up to do the chair shot and hit Orton without seeing him.
RonL21 Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Orton has the best post finishing move reactions I must say
Conspiracy_Victim Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 CUE THE BENNY HILL MUSIC IT'S RUN-IN MANIA!!
TheFranchise Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 MICHAELS BRINGS THE FANTASY POINTS!
Hawk 34 Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Shawn's trying to hard with the Funk impression.
RepoMan Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 So HBK destroyed the upper mid-card because?
Exslade ZX Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 That's one hell of a bald spot on the Heart Break "Kid". And i do hate how they've made Edge look like quite the bitch for quite some time.
Mecca Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 And Michaels looks strong to end Raw again.
Aero Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Isn't the rule that since HBK was standing tall at the end, he's not winning?
Mecca Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Isn't the rule that since HBK was standing tall at the end, he's not winning? When it's HBK I say all bets are off.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 It should have went.... Flair --> Kenny --> Carlito --> Masters --> Crazy --> Rest of Raw's Rumble guys en masse --> Huge Brawl!
CheesalaIsGood Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Probably the most balanced quality wise RAW I have seen in ages. Nothing on that show really bothered me that much. Which is always good to have and very hard to find these days.
Boon Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I like how that ending actually showed cohesion, almost like the writers remembered what the fuck they had done the week before.
razazteca Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Shawn's trying to hard with the Funk impression. HBK has almost everything to make it work: 1. Bleeds alot 2. Bald spot 3. Takes a hell of a beating in brawls What he needs: 1. T-shirt with his wrestling school on it 2. Pants with stripes 3. Branding iron or towel
razazteca Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 It should have went.... Flair --> Kenny --> Carlito --> Masters --> Crazy --> Rest of Raw's Rumble guys en masse --> Huge Brawl! show of ended with Khali eating a chair or Shelton running up the ladder to do the blinger splash onto everybody.
cabbageboy Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 HBK was left standing tall BUT he did in fact job in the match itself against Edge. Thus I'd say he is likely winning the Rumble. To be honest given the build he's the only guy who makes any sense. Then we get Cena/HBK at WM, and they can build up UT/Batista with the No Way Out PPV easily enough (UT/Kennedy #1 contender match, like that one isn't predetermined as hell). As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, they can also do the lovers quarrel match on the undercard with Edge and Orton. I must say I loved the Ron Simmons cameo this week. Who knew he was an art collector? Maybe Cryme Tyme has the real Mona Lisa.
Just John Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Not too bad of a show. Not particularly great, but there were some standout points. Candice deserves a ton of credit for her in-ring improvement. I was surprised to see her be the hot tag, but she pulled it off very well. The finish wasn't what it was supposed to be, but it worked. Maybe it's too early to start calling her the "next Trish," but she has been consistently improving over the last year. If WWE hired models with work ethic like this, no one would be opposed to it. Khali getting face cheers was weird. Guy could probably be a good addition to the show if he could actually bump. Unfortunately, the invincibility routine can only go so far. I'm surprised they ran a street fight that brutal the week before the Rumble and with a top face already on the shelf. There were a couple points in that match it looked like Michaels could have been seriously hurt. It was a fun match, but I am shocked about the timing. And before the R-RKO split gets too far along, the writers should remember they need to get the tag titles off them.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I think the Edge/Orton thing was more payback for last week and also promoting the "every man for himself" nature of the Rumble since he did throw him over the top rope. I suspect if neither of them win the Rumble that they will be back together, at least for the moment, and will further split later after they lose the belts
Scroby Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 It should have went.... Flair --> Kenny --> Carlito --> Masters --> Crazy --> Rest of Raw's Rumble guys en masse --> Huge Brawl! I thought the same excat thing. Oh and the Ron Simmon's "damn" thing...best one ever tonight.
