NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2007 After all was said and done at the Royal Rumble, Bobby Lashley remained ECW World Champion when he defeated Test by count-out. This week on Sci Fi, the two men will meet again for the ECW World Title in a Royal Rumble rematch. Will Lashley once again get the best of the Impact Player, or will Test's quest for the gold come to its climax? Also, Mr. McMahon will make his first-ever appearance on ECW on Sci Fi Tuesday night, as he apparently plans to continue his Fan Appreciation Night. What does The Chairman have in store for the ECW fans? On last week's show, Kelly Kelly gave ECW fans the long-awaited return of Kelly’s Expose. The event featured Extreme Expose members Layla and Brooke in the first complete edition of Kelly’s Expose. Will ECW fans continue to be entertained now that Mike Knox is no longer getting in the way? Find out the answers to all of these questions and more ECW on Sci Fi at 10/9 CT. ------------------------------------ Seriously, WTF? Test vs. Lashley for the third time in three weeks? Is this DIRECT punishment to the fans to refuse to buy into Lashley and/or Test? Also, McMahon showing up on ECW to continue that crap can't be good... Looks like it is shaping up to be a very miss-able ECW
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2007 I feel sorry for the Smackdown fans who have to watch the Mr. McMahon masturbation session twice the same night.

Looks like it is shaping up to be a very miss-able ECW Actually, its the 4th time in 2 weeks Test and Lashley have been in the same match if you count the triple threat. But Test Lashley I was last Tuesday, Test/Lashley II was at RR and this will be the third, so 3rd time in 8 days..wowzers. Vince on ECW will be stupid but anyway.. Also, we can get a ECW thread made this early but not a SD thread? huh?
RedJed 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2007 Pretty lame sounding - the show is, to me, really hard to sit through in the past month or so. Watching WSX instead when it comes on.
Scroby 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2007 So we're going to have another crappy Dance session, Vince 20 minute promo on Donald Trump, and Test vs Lashley 3 (Singles match wise) with another crappy finish? I actually might skip out on ECW to watch WSX.

NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2007 Sometimes it just seems Vince wants the ECW project to fail. Whenever they manage to do something right and make a decent show, it seems Vince is ranting about how terrible it is.

It was kind of a let down considering ECW is the Extreme show with the Vixens and Extremists I was expecting her to show some nip or camel toe or some HLA or Tommy Dreamer coming out to say he is HARDCORE! and having a triple kiss or something but all we got last week was some weak ass intermission 20 second timeout cheerleader dance. They better bring the ice cubes this week and give us some Terry Runnels extreme pointy Showgirls nipples tonight in that very ring!

NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2007 Anyone else find it ironic that Vince is so against "extreme rules" in WWECW, yet every other main event/spectacle match on Raw/Smackdown is a NO DQ/Streetfight/Last Man Standing etc etc....featuring blood/chairs/tables etc....It seems more about protecting his golden boys then making a better product. It's became painfully obvious that ECW wasn't brought back because the ECW mindset saved WWF in the '90s, and it wasn't brought back because fans wanted it. It came back because the Rise and Fall DVD sold well, and it was a chance for WWE to have another hour of wrestling on television and do something with hopelessly un-over workers. Sucks 'cause I had hope for it after the two One Night Stand PPVs.
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2007 Well, we have to accept that the new ECW is nothing like the original ECW. That said, I don't know why WWE bothers calling them "ECW Extremists" when they generally don't do anything remotely extreme. Just call them "ECW Superstars" and be done with it. luke-o 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2007 The sad thing is, is that the WWE has now turned what was once a great company into a 3rd rate joke. The ECW title is now a title thats along the lines of the European title if its lucky. Lashley is a joke as champion. Test is a joke as a contender to be champion. I was dead against this idea from the start and knew that it would fall flat on it's arse. For the love of god Vince, pull the trigger and be done with this failed experiment just like you did with the XFL.

Matt Striker wears some extremely bad neckties! And Joey and Tazz are extreme puppets to the man they used to be rebels but now they are just collecting paychecks! They could at least bring in a special guest announcer for Tazz to yell at each week. Or they can give the belt to the Undertaker....you know that would make the Sci-Fi people happy Taker is afterall the walking undead with magic powers to make pyro shoot up at random moments! Might as well make the ECW main event Undertaker, Kane, Vampire, Darth Flava BOY, cause we all know thats what the network wants.

strummer 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2007 Meltzer: We're also looking for reports on tonight's Smackdown aspect of the tapings in Houston tonight. Expect a major ECW show tonight. Bobby Lashley vs. Test is the main event. Vince McMahon will be appearing on the show. As silly as this sounds, there is huge talk in Houston right now regarding WSX, which debuts at 10:30 p.m. on MTV with a repeat of the show that already aired Friday. Tonight's show is being written with the main aspect being of shutting down the WSX debut.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2007 Mr. McMahon mocking Donald Trump isn't going to bring in new fans nor is another countout decision from Test nor Nitro Girls dancing. NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2007 Yeah, umm Vince McMahon showing up to do a "fan appreciation" segment is not going to help things out. If anything it will drive people right into the lap of WSX. Also, having Lashley vs. Test for the third time in 8 Days, when thus far Test has been buried and there is no reason for the fans to think he has a chance, is ALSO not another good way to retain viewers. Oh and adding to my point earlier. The biggest frustration I have with the new ECW, is the fact that Vince seems more interested in his own vision then what works with the fans. As up and down as the new ECW has been, there has been a lot about it from week to week that has been pretty good, especially a few weeks into it, we were getting damn good Main Events every week that ended CLEAN. Even during Big Show's title reign, they managed to have some good Main Events with Sabu and Ric Flair. The show was working, it seemed Heyman was doing the best with whatever small amount of wiggle room he had......I dunno how or why, but over the last month or so of WWECW it has started to completely change even moreso then the initial shock of it's re-debut. At this point, if all they did was go back to the WWECW of a few months ago, I'd be happy enough, because at least then we were getting good Main Events. I think my overall point is, as much as WWECW was NEVER GONNA BE "ECW" it was, on some levels WORKING. However, everything that made it watchable in the beginning, seems to be slowly leaving, and being replaced by absolute garbage. It is turning into a single hour of RAW, just with smaller "stars"
