It's stupid. I'm not going to forums.thesmartmarks.com any further! Damn, with all the photoshops of Marvin, and we didn't even do a Jabba the Hutt one.

Does this kind of consumerism anger HD enthusiasts?

The name brand thing is pointless, there are quite a few lesser recognized brands who put out HD TVs that are similarly comparable to the stuff that Sony/Samsung etc put out for a much cheaper price. However you are like a lot of people who buy HDTVs but are clueless to the fact that you still need a source for HD programming and that just watching regular cable/satellite on a brand new HDTV doesnt make it HD (in fact, it sorta makes it worse). A lot of these same people go around complaining because the picture isnt that great...well DUH.

Marvin has become similar since he's turned his depressing life into a gimmick here at TSM. But, he's definitely not as creepy and at least has an reasonable explanation for why he's such a sad lump that doesn't attempt to be happy outside of watching TV.
