"First it was the reunion of the Wu-Tang Clan in 2004. Then it was A Tribe Called Quest later that year. Now, ROCK THE BELLS will make history again as Rage Against The Machine announces their plans to perform three exclusive engagements with the critically acclaimed world-class hip-hop festival this summer. The epic line-up will see Rage Against The Machine join Wu-Tang Clan for two dates on the west coast (August 11--NOS Events Center, San Bernardino, CA, August 18--venue TBA, San Francisco) and for Rock The Bells’ inaugural venture into New York City (July 28-- Randall’s Island) for their only scheduled appearance on the eastern seaboard this year. The Wu-Tang Clan will support the release of their forthcoming album 8 Diagrams.'

A rock band...at a hip-hop festival? Considering Zach de la Rocha isn't that good of an MC, albeit the owner of a very distinct delivery and a decent lyricist (though Immortal Technique would OWN his fucking ass, and Necro would make him cry), I can't see this ending that well.

argiung FOR necro is a hip hop argument autmoatcally disqualifies you from continuing on.

Yea, Rage and Wu haved toured together before. My friend always tells me how his brother went to one of them.

I'm probably gonna wind up going to the Randall's Island show if it means the last time Rage will ever be in NY.

Laz, Wu Tang and Rage did a tour in 1997 to many different colleges and started a few riots so this will be good.

Wow...I wanna go now if they come to New England. Never seen RATM live, don't care much for Wu (but prefer them over most rap acts), but it sounds enjoyable. Plus the novelty of somebody with long hair, a goatee that's in the process of growing to ridiculous Scott Ian lengths, and a vest with patches for Slayer and The Misfits on it going to a rap concert might be worth seeing.

well maybe they will throw a Kansas City show in there or something.

There really should be a large rap tour every summer ala Ozzfest.

I would hope that a KC show such as that would include Mac Lethal but it would probably have somebody really lame like Tech N9ne instead.

But I mean really, one of the most unique rappers alive today just got called "lame".

haha I love it

We can all agree that Mac Lethal is better than Tech Nine, right?

Never heard his stuff, but i'm interested. Can you recommend some tracks?

As far as being better than Tech N9ne, I really doubt he has a chance at that. He might have better word play and a wider array of rhymes. Tech tends to repeat himself a little. But nobody on the planet earth can flow like Tech N9ne, he can flow so many different ways.
