Lord of The Curry Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 From left to right: Gray Maynard, Matt Wiman, Robert Emerson, Nate Diaz, Noah Thomas, Marlon Sims, Cole Miller, Jens Pulver, Gabe Ruediger, Brian Geraghty, BJ Penn, Brandon Melendez, Andy Wang, Manvel Gamburyan, Corey Hill, Wayne Weems, Alan Berube and Joe Lauzon. Well, Dana is going on record all over the place saying that this is far and away the best season so far which is a tall tale to claim as season three was the fucking awsomeness. He's also said that two of these guys have produced the best fight in TUF history. Show premieres after the Guillard/Stevenson UFN on April 5th.
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 It's weird having Joe Lauzon there as he's already had a fight in the UFC, with a win over a TUF coach at that. Apparently BJ comes off as a huge asshole in this one.
Youth N Asia Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 I always enjoy the show, but doesn't Dana ALWAYS say it's going to be the best season?
razazteca Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 When doesn't BJ come off as a huge asshole? Will they give a backstory as to why everyone hates him because he is supposedly rich.
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 When doesn't BJ come off as a huge asshole? If you meet him in real life. I haven't, but he's good friends with our coach at Tristar who has done seminars with him, and apparently he's a very helpful/nice guy. Also fat.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 Manvel Gamburyan is going to win.
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 You can really tell by looking at them how many of them should be LW and how many should be 145. Lots of differences in size among guys that are supposed to be in the same weight class.
Lord of The Curry Posted March 14, 2007 Author Report Posted March 14, 2007 Notable wins/losses (mostly losses) for some of the fighters on the show....... Nate Diaz- Loss, Hermes Franca, Armbar, WEC 24 Joe Lauzon- Win, Jens Pulver, TKO, UFC 63. Youth N Asia Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 Matt Winman had a very good showing again King. I was looking forward to seeing him again.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 Who is the giant in the back? Corey Hill.

You don't even mention Manvel Gamburyan losing to the UFC Lightweight Champion, Sean Sherk by desicion.
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 Well he said for some of the fighters. It's funny how all the notable fights brought up are losses, save the one where the guy beat up the friggin coach.

Well Gabe beat Jason Maxwell whom beat Jens Pulver... so using MMAth, Gabe > Maxwell > Pulver!

Lord of The Curry Posted March 14, 2007 Author Report Posted March 14, 2007 I suck nuts, apparently. You should go back to being a joke at BK. They're a bit nicer over there.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 I suck nuts, apparently. You should go back to being a joke at BK. They're a bit nicer over there. I'm allowed to make my mandatory posts here! Actually I think the people here are nicer then BK And yes you do suck nuts.
Lord of The Curry Posted March 14, 2007 Author Report Posted March 14, 2007 For future reference, we're letting you off the hook for the whole "Mandatory Posts" thing. Don't feel obligated in the least.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 For future reference, we're letting you off the hook for the whole "Mandatory Posts" thing. Don't feel obligated in the least. Why not? You guys should be blessed with my presences! I'm not the one talking about other people's losses to notable fighters and forget the fighter who is likely going to win TUF5, and his loss to the current UFC LW Champion... Sucka.
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 This is probably going to be the season I will be most into, because I just d/l a 2 gig folder featuring a bunch of fights with all the TUF guys in it. I look forward to watching a bunch of shitty fights, and a few good ones.
AmericanDragon Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 TUF5 episode one info: http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/news/h...t.asp?aID=18984 Looks like an amazing first episode.
Lord of The Curry Posted March 21, 2007 Author Report Posted March 21, 2007 What's it about? Is it full of spoilers or just a general overview?
AmericanDragon Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 What's it about? Is it full of spoilers or just a general overview? Well if you're talking about spoilers as in fight results then no. It talks about Penn pissing Dana off.
Youth N Asia Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 This is where someone who knows how to find this stuff posts the Fisher knockout over Matt Wiman
