Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Very unfair. More so in the next round vs. the higher seed, A&M.
jwpeer 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Somehow I don't think Acie Law IV cares. He's going to destroy them either way...this way it's just close so he can shove a dagger in the 4th quarter. A&M is going to be tough to knock out as long as he doesn't get hurt.
jwpeer 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Stephen Curry is unreal today. Clearly he's going to will davidson to a win (and maybe himself to an nbadl contract ;p)
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Davidson is going to make the NCAA reconsider the whole "move back the three point line" argument. This Maryland team is sad to watch. They fell asleep before the ACC tournament and they still haven't fully awaken yet. Least they aren't Stanford though, damn.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Maryland is playing with fire here... they had their chance to get a solid lead in the 1st when Davidson didn't shoot that well. Really like the upset now.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Louisville should of been playing in a city that is not within driving distance from its University.
Guest Sabu Report post Posted March 15, 2007 LET'S GO DAVIDSON! *clap clap clap clap clap*
jwpeer 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Stanford shouldn't be playing at 10 am their time, why they aren't in a later game escapes me. home court for louisville + tired jetlagged stanford team = sloppy game.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Stanford shouldn't be playing at 10 am their time, why they aren't in a later game escapes me. home court for louisville + tired jetlagged stanford team = sloppy game. They should have won more games and gotten a higher seed, then. You can't complain about your placement when you're an 11 seed. Besides, somebody's got to play those 12:00 games. jwpeer 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 They'd still lose. they aren't a good team...but it just makes for crappy basketball (not that I have to watch, I only can do stat updates at work)
KingPK 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 (edited) I don't think Stanford just jumped on a plane last night. The teams usually arrive on Tuesday, so they had time to acclimate themselves. I certainly wasn't expecting this kind of offense from BC and Texas Tech. Edited March 15, 2007 by KingPK
Bored 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 When it comes to scheduling CBS wants every part of the country to have a game in each timeslot so that's why Stanford ends up here and UNLV has a 9:25 AM PST start tommorrow. But when your getting ass raped like this the start time and location can't be used as a primary excuse. Sure it'd be more competitive if the game were in Spokane with a 2:30 PM PST tip but the result wouldn't be different. Woo hoo Stanford just matched their biggest run of the game, 4-0. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 This Davidson team is incredibly sloppy. But then again, Maryland seems to be playing like they think this is a scrimmage before the tournament starts on Friday. Cause it's not good defense dooming you if you are throwing the ball right to your opponent.
jwpeer 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Oh, i agree. Stanford is still stinking it up. Just I like some competition. It's hard to tell if Louisville is really that good (and I've seen a lot of Big East basketball) based on destroying stanford. saturday A&M vs. louisville might be one of the best tournament games period, however. Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Davidson's looked really fatigued the last 5 minutes. But, as long as they stay close with a few minutes left, I think they'll win.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Okay, these blackout restrictions are bull- if Memphis is on my local CBS affiliate (we don't have TV at work) someone's gonna die
Bored 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 God I hope Brook Lopez doesn't jump to the NBA after just one year because Stanford does have pretty much their entire team returning so they could be very, very good next year. With his size and skill set he has a good chance to be a lottery pick but hopefully he realizes he's not exactly Greg Oden either and still needs time at the college level. Guest Sabu Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Boo it looks like BC will win. Wasn't expecting that.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Davidson got really sloppy and are now done. Maryland will leap out of the way of speeding bullet and advance it looks like. Unless they completely collapse and Davidson stops throwing the ball away.
jwpeer 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Marylands rebounding is what saved them that game, they were playing sloppy but rebounding well kept them in the game.
C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Stanford should not have been anywhere, so they can't complain too much about playing at 10. Maryland game wasn't that exciting, but not a bad appetizer. Now watch for UPenn to knock off A&M!
snuffbox 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Having Maryland in my Elite 8, that game was near stroke-inducing for much of it.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Boo, Davidson must not have a good conditioning program. They just died in the 2nd half. Winnable game, too. Bleh. Go, Cougars.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Davidson's plan of just throwing it against the backboard and hoping it drops worked for about 10-20 minutes, then it just became really stupid to watch.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Went 3-0 on the early games. Not that it's very impressive when the better seeded team won every game, but it's nice to get off to a good start.
snuffbox 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 I missed the mark going with Texas Tech.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 2-1. I really didn't think BC would show up for their game.
C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 72 of the 200 teams in my pool went 3 and 0.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted March 15, 2007 3-0 in most of mine. Switched between BC/TT in some of my pools because I really didn't care who won that.
Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 I went 2-1 in both of my brackets. Missing BC in one and Louisville in the other. I would have went 3-0 in both had I not changed those games at the last minute. Oh well, at least I wasn't among those jumping on the Davidson bandwagon.
