Who names their son BOOF?

seriously.

It's not his birth name.

I can't recall how he got the name during his youth, but it's mentioned every time he starts.

I just got MLB Extra Innings, and I'm trying to follow six games at once. It's almost too much. I can't even imagine if I was trying to follow any of the five games on NHL Centre Ice or the four games on NBA League Pass.

It's easier for the other sports, because there's so many different start times. You can plan your game watching around the intermissions when they come up, but with baseball you can't.

I like Juan Pierre's range in center, he robbed Prince Fielder of a sure double. That's about it, his bunting every time at the plate has always pissed me off. Always. At least he's taking more pitches.

Orlando Hernandez just got his second hit of the night, a two-RBI double that put the Mets up 4-0. Ah, the benefits of having a pitcher who can handle the bat.

K, when guys like Cabrera get that nickname, this shit needs to stop. NOW.

Nomar's would be the best, but yeah, all those nicknames suck. A-Rod is the only one that should stay the same, the VMart stuff is terrible.

Stop calling people by initals. A-ROD. D-CAB and all the other dumb ones. Real nicknames, people.

Im the only one that I know that calls him D-Cab, and thats only because I have a hard time spelling his last name, I always want to put an extra r in it for some reason.

and the twins take the 3-2 lead in the bottom of the 7th..

BLEH...lame..ugh

can we get a decent catcher back there that can pick of a guy that stumbles 2/3rds of the way into his steal and still makes it? Please?

Furcal as R-Fur is partially acceptable.

This ARI-COL series has been very disappointing. And Matthew Holliday isn't crushing. Crush.

I could certainly listen to Gary Thorne and Buck Martinez all year. If Buck isn't the best colour guy around right now, he's pretty close.

Both of them used to and still (maybe) do ESPN games so theres an auora of professionalism (HAHA) with em I guess.

Just as long as the Os dont hit any more home runs this year..Im not gonna be able to take "GOODBYE...HOMERUN" a lot.

and damnit MILLAR!

Pretty much. The Cards threatened in the eighth, getting a runner on first and third with two outs for Pujols, but he couldn't cash in.

Kip Wells was a bit of a rollercoaster ride. High counts for seemingly every batter, but he had some decent stuff and got some key strikeouts when he needed them. He's definitely going to be a project, but he could turn into a real pitcher later on this year, once he gets a handle on his location and works more with Duncan.

I have no such optimism for Looper, though. I'm expecting something on the order of a 9-2 Mets win and a sweep.

Well, the Astros lost...again...to the Pirates (It hurts to type that). Jason Jennings was on point, giving up 1 ER in 6 innings with 6 Ks and no BBs. However, Dan Wheeler did his best Brad Lidge impression and blew the damn game. This new offense isn't clickin' yet, as they once again could only muster 2 runs and 7 hits. After the second game of the season, the 'Stros and the Cards are tied for last place in the division. Sad stuff about Carpenter, but good for the Astros.

Well the A's hitters have picked up right where they left off last year, watching every first pitch go right down the middle for a strike and not even taking a hack at it. The one time it happens, it results in an RBI, and you'd think it would catch on with some of the other hitters, but NOPE.

I swear it is going to be a loooong year if already by Game 2 the game commentators are talking about it being "a perfect time for so-and-so to hit a homerun" all the while knowing there is no way the A's ever put up enough hits in an inning to get batters around from first base.

It's only two games, haha, but I am an A's fan.

Welcome to the life of an Orioles fan. 3 hits tonight, all of them in the same inning..

That's better than scattering hits.
