Guest Smues Report post Posted April 13, 2007 Smoltz has plunked Chris Snelling twice today. Is there some bad blood between them that I'm unaware of? "This is for always going on the D/L you damn pussy!"
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 Frank Robinson Day is not the answer to everything All managers must wear his number? All managers must fall asleep in the dugout.

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 Apparently Carl Crawford committed one of baseball's all time great baserunning blunders in the ninth inning. With Zobrist on first, Crawford hit a ball in the right field corner and didn't even look up rounding second. Zobrist, stopped at third was forced to attempt a run home. Zobrist was tagged out, and Crawford for some reason tried to go back to second. The Twins got Crawford as well, turning a 2nd/3rd with no out situation into a bases empty, two out situation. Justin Morneau won the game in the bottom of the inning with a walk-off home run. I caught the call on the radio and I'm curious to see the television replay. Guest Eagle Man Report post Posted April 13, 2007 We don't have enough players out of position at catcher! We just have whites and Hispanics playing where they're supposed to be! What has gone wrong in America? Frank would be ashamed. Sounds like one of the good ones, Al, but "Crawford's Boner" cannot be similarly added to the baseball vernacular for obvious reasons. The Twins always seem to be on the positive end huge blunders by the other team. John Kruk would have Jimmy Rollins hitting 4th in the Phillies lineup. I don't get why the Phillies have to make these major changes to the lineup.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 The Orioles barely managed to win last night over the Royals..2-1 in 10. The offense doesn't exist..but they got another good pitching performance from Trachsel.

vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 Yeah, they're having a pretty bad inning it looks like, huh? When a guy pinch-hitting for the pitcher gets 2 at-bats in the inning and his second at-bat is only out number 2, it's not going good. Oh well, Big Z hit another homerun. UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 Hey, Philadelphia superfan checking in for week 2 of the majors. The Phillies manager still blows. The Phillies can't get any "long innings" from the offense and can only score via home runs. The Phillies bullpen is still awful. Clay Condrey, Geoff Geary, Ryan Madsen, Tom Gordon <---all these guys are horrible Wes Helms sucks. Aaron Rowand sucks. Jimmy Rollins is great. Ryan Howard is striking out a lot but I love the big guy. Chase Utley needs to start hitting. The Phillies are now 2-7.

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 Porter, besides the fact that I'm going to wager I have/make more money than you and thus have attended, I'd predict, over at least a hundred more professional baseball games alone than you in my young lifetime, I'll simply say that I have only posted two comments about the Phillies on here, so your "constant bashing" tag doesn't fit, buddy. Also, "for no reason"...uh...have you SEEN a Phillies game? Ask Al, although he tends to not jump and lash out at things as quickly as I, even he must admit that the Phillies have one of the worst manager/bullpen combinations in quite some time. So either come up with your own logical arguments, or come up with a better "diss" than to take my rather accepted claims against the 2-7 Phillies, off to yet another abysmal start, and try to counter it by making an actual argument instead of your nonsensical lazy typing. UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 Yeah, good idea. Hey, Phillies lead 3-0 in the first with a shitload of infield singles and shady Oswalt Astro pitching. Edit: 3-1. First Astro at bat hits a home run.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 another good pitching performance from Trachsel. Is this really true? 4/7 vs NY 6 2/3 ip 4 H 3 ER 2 BB 3 K 4/12 vs KC 7 ip ip 3 H 1 ER 1 BB 1 K Hes still 0-0 with a 2.63 ERA and a .73 WHIP The Os starters as a whole are doing pretty well but Trachsel is doing far better than I expected so far. Guest Eagle Man Report post Posted April 13, 2007 Mark Redman is atrocious, and against the fucking Marlins, which is even worse. Braves down 5 before they've even gone to bat. Yank this shitty pitcher. He has been economical with his pitches, though: one-pitch single and a one-pitch hit batsman to bring Cabrera up.

I mean, 2006 ALL-STAR MARK REDMAN. 5-0 before we ever got to bat, with Willis on the mound and that nasty bullpen (besides Julio Lugo) ugg. BUT HE'S A LEFTY HE HAS VALUE! vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2007 Carlos Lee just hit a monstrous grand slam to give the 'Stros a 5-3 lead against Philly in the 3rd. It's been a pretty shitty game for pitching so far. I think both Myers and Oswalt have each thrown about 70 or so pitches already.
