EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2007 Brian McCann got hurt on the hand thanks to a catcher's interference call and now he's out of the game.
Guest Smues Report post Posted May 2, 2007 Oh that's just great. I wonder if it's the same hand he got plunked on last week when he was batting.
Guest Smues Report post Posted May 2, 2007 Dear Mark Redman: You suck. Our arms are going to fall off thanks to you. Signed, Braves Bullpen P.S. Please die

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2007 Oh that's just great. I wonder if it's the same hand he got plunked on last week when he was batting. Doubtful. As a left-handed batter, McCann would face the pitcher with his non-glove hand.
Guest Smues Report post Posted May 2, 2007 True. But he was bunting.

Five fantasy guys injured now, and only two DL spots. quitcherbitchin I have 2 on the DL, but I'll drop nook logan if I have to and I just picked up Ryan Doumit as a C even though hes playing RF or something for the Pirates. and Durbin looked like crap compared to his last start vs Chicago. geniusMoment 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2007 Reds better get their hits tonight, as tomorrow they face Mr. Oswalt.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2007 It's more important not to waste another Arroyo start with a cold offense and sloppy bullpen. Tacking on runs tonight has been a good deterrent.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2007 Well, a rookie sinkerballer, an umpire with a high strikezone, Brian Moehler, and a cold Astros' offense make this a night I should've spent making sweet, sweet love to a beautiful woman.

Don't count out the Astros yet, the Reds have a habit of not playing add on, and then the bullpen comes in and it's a new game.
Mik 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2007 This might come as a surprise to some of you... but I love Hanley Ramirez. Awesome play in the 9th tonight against the Mets, on top of his overall godlike play. Ricky Nolasco back off the DL tonight and pitched well. Hermida and Josh Johnson due off within the month of May and the Marlins are .500. The regressions that everyone predicted aren't happening (outside of Dan Uggla). Dare I say, +.500, WC contention this year?

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2007 Baez is absolutely terrible.. The Os at least are making an effort at a comeback in the 9th..but it wont happen.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted May 2, 2007 Uggla isn't really regressing, either. He did strike out a lot last year and had a shitty OBP. And he's on pace for more HR's this year. Marlins for the playoffs. Woo.
Guest Richard McBeef Report post Posted May 2, 2007 Middle of the 7th, Cubs up 6-5, but WGN switched over to Milt Rosenberg, so I'm guessing the game was called.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted May 2, 2007 3 HR's in an inning? These aren't the Cubs I know. But, I'm sure they'll still find a way to lose.
Guest Richard McBeef Report post Posted May 2, 2007 They will, which is why the umps need to call the game and prevent us from defeating ourselves.

TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2007 Phil Hughes pitches 6.1 innings of a no hitter and comes out with 83 pitches and an apparent injured hamstring. Yanks lead Texas 9-1 in the top of the 9th.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2007 Hughes looked unstoppable. That's a shame it happened. Hopefully he'll be good for his next start.

TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2007 I was still holding out hope for a team-no hitter, but then I saw Mike Myers come out for a second inning of work. So much for that. Tonight's postgame show will be getting YES some pretty high ratings, as everyone wants to know what's going on with Hughes.
