franchise632 Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 I can't even count the number of time that I have been over that bridge, its is some scary shit. I am glad that I am not in the Cities right now. Fortunatly my gal went to a different part of town after work tonight instead of home.
migoli Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Yeah i take 94 everyday and i look at that bridge every morning, its crazy it looks like a earthquake or some stuff, scary stuff
franchise632 Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 It is just scary, traffic was already bad in the area and this is only going to make things worse, hopefully all the folks that can be rescued have been, because the weather is about to get pretty nasty down there. Well I know what my news stories will be about tomorrow at my radio station in the morning.
Vampiro69 Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Wow. I have gone over that bridge before as well.
Vampiro69 Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 So far I have been unable to get ahold of 2 friends of mine that live there. Hopefully they are ok.
Failed Bridge Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 blame bush PRESIDENT BUSH KILLED THE BRIDGE TO RUIN THE DEBUT OF AL JEFFERSON
migoli Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 i blame selig, dude never wanted to twins to do well and the groundbreaking for the new stadium was going to be tomorrow
Failed Bridge Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Global warming. Man-bear-pig was behind this tragedy?!
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 "Officials believe structural collapse to blame for Minneapolis Bridge Disaster," says MSNBC. Well duh.
Guest • Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 blame bush PRESIDENT BUSH KILLED THE BRIDGE TO RUIN THE DEBUT OF AL JEFFERSON I froze when I read what Mascot wrote. It was incredibly offensive at best. I would never support the collapse of the bridge regardless of location. I have friends working at the U and based on some rumors they've been telling me recently, I wouldn't take comments like that lightly. I just want the day to be over and will pray for the safety of Joe Mauer.
Slayer Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 I also propose renaming FFMS to "Failed Bridge"
Failed Bridge Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 I also propose renaming FFMS to "Failed Bridge" I would do Free Formed Man Bridge if there was an adequate avatar pic to go with it.
Failed Bridge Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 I'm also wondering if the bridge collapsing wasn't a result of all the Twins fans piling up to jump off it once they heard or read the recent interview with Johan Santana where he said he wants out.
In Credible Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 I'm from Minnesota, hopefully their aren't tons of fatalities, pretty fucked up situation. And....Holy Crap! We made the national news for something other than our teams being dumb!
Jingus Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Per FFMS's request: Sorry, that's the best Google could come up with. Personally, I too support the Failed Bridge initiative.
Mecca Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 I actually just listened to people on MSNBC blame the city and the Twins for this with comments like. "The infrastructure in that city is screwed up and falling apart, they gave the money to the billion dollar Twins owner for a new stadium instead of fixing the problems" Then they went on and on about how apparently the Twins are more important than fixing bridges and other things in the city falling apart. They kept using the term "billionaire owner" in a really condescending way as if the guy blew up the bridge himself.

Well a bridge collapses while they have the funds to build a new stadium to replace the one built all the way back in 1982. You have to admit that doesn't look good.
Mecca Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Didn't the people vote for a stadium though? If they did I'm not exactly sure what they can say...
snuffbox Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 There was this lady that called into MSNBC all hysterical & depressed over this. She could barely speak & Danny Abrams was trying to both console her & keep her on the line for further gossip. The lady really struggled but she kept telling her story before she just couldn't go on and Abrams said 'goodbye'. About a minute later I switched over to CNN & thaat same lady's name was up on the chryon. Her emotionally strained voice was saying the exact same goddamned stuff to whoever was running the show on that channel.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 I was watching Fox News and former Transportation Secretary Norm Mineta said that the states get money to repair bridges and highways each year. It isn't the stadium's fault.
Guest • Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Yeah, I think funds are earmarked for things. It's not like they just have a box for petty cash. Keep the Twins out of this, you yellow-journalistic over-hairsprayed cable goons. What next, saying they're spending money on baseball, which has STEROIDS, which killed Chris Benoit's wife?
Guest • Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 wow, I was mad. Hey F'ridge, use this as your sig, now that the old one doesn't fit without "how the TSM server is maintained."
