OAO Raw Thread for September 10

Recommended Posts

From wwe.com

The games will come to an end as Mr. McMahon will officially find out the identity of his illegitimate son Monday night on Raw. But WWE's Fan Nation has already made their choice on who they think is the bastard child — they think it's The Game.

Twenty-three percent of the more than 600,000 fans that voiced their opinion think that Triple H is McMahon's lovechild. We don't know if Stephanie McMahon is a religious person, but you can bet she must be praying to the heavens that this is not the case, since she was formerly married to The King of Kings. Knowing that she might have kissed her brother in a very unbrotherly way is enough to make her stomach turn.

Shockingly, coming in second was ECW's Stevie Richards with 18% of the vote. At a glance, the long-time ECW veteran doesn't appear to have any resemblance to McMahon, but has shown his leadership mettle as the head of the factions Right To Censor and Blue World Order in the past. Does he get it from dad? We'll find out.

Interestingly, tag-team specialist Paul London ranks in the top five. The man who seemed amused the night Mr. McMahon was presumed dead. But would he be amused if he found out he was the Chairman's son?

The fans were also drawn to gold. About 20% of those polled believe McMahon's son is a current WWE titleholder. Knowing the McMahons' competitive drive and aggressive nature in both the ring and business world, this assumption is understandable.

According to the fans, some of the least-likely to be McMahon's son include former WWE Tag Team Champion Deuce, Highlander Robbie McAllister, and former Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero — all received just 0.1% of the vote.

Though not a choice in the poll, Mr. Kennedy is still determined to prove that Mr. McMahon is his dad, despite the information from the representative of the woman that filed a paternity suit against the Chairman. Knowing Raw is in Kennedy's hometown of Green Bay, Wisc., look for the loud-mouthed Superstar to make his case in front of a friendly crowd.

So is WWE's Fan Nation correct? We'll find out on Monday Night Raw at 9/8 CT on USA Network.

I'd like to say Big Daddy V just for kicks, but I have a feeling this is going to be a let down. I'm actually surprised they mention Stevie Richards in the Raw preview as well.

From PWInsider:

AN INTERESTING COINCIDENCE IN THE VINCE'S SON STORYLINE

by Dave Scherer @ 11:31:57 AM on 9/10/2007

This isn't anything conclusive by any means, but WWE had originally planned to unveil Ken Kennedy as Vince McMahon's illegitimate son tonight on Raw in Green Bay, WI. Part of the reason for doing so tonight is that Green Bay is Kennedy's home town. Well, as it turns out, he isn't the only one who fits that scenario.

Jeffrey O. Gustafson sent this:

One of you (Scherer, I believe) has been high on Hornswoggle being Vince's (<cough>Little) Bastard. Much was made of the Kennedy connection to Green Bay, where the announcement will be made, but Dylan Postl, the guy who plays Hornswoggle, was born and raised in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, just south of Green Bay. I don't know if that could be an indication that Vince's bastard is Hornswoggle as his ... uh ... origins, have always been obscured (and as far as I can tell, he's never been billed from anywhere identifiable), but at the very least it would be a pleasant coincidence and a nice treat for the Cruiserweight Champ to get such a push in his back yard.

I still want to say that this is a ruse between Vince, Kennedy, and the lawyer to mess with his family. Vince can then send his son on "vacation" to prepare for life as a McMahon.

If it ends up being HHH... eck.

I was and am still hoping this can be used to elevate someone to a higher level, but it's seemingly less and less likely as the hours go by.

Am i the only one who is suprised that WWE.com remembered that many previous storylines in that preview? Triple Haitch's marrige to Steph that ended in divorce?! Stevie Richards was head of RTC?! It unusual for them to remember things from a few months back, let alone a few years!

Ha, I can't be the only one who finds that funny...? :D

I really hate that they try to act like HHH and Steph aren't married. Anyone who buys the Bio DVDs or watches other shows like the HOF know they're together. Hell, during the DX/McMahon feud they all but said HHH was the father of Steph's child. It's things like this, among many other reasons lately, that I'm losing interest in this scumbag business by the week.

Speaking of the scumbag business, I thought Kennedy was suspended?

I suppose that we will find out just how much respect the writing staff has for the WWE fanbase tonight. All logic seems to point to a certain little bastard, but logic and WWE storylines tend to go together like oil and vinegar.

Why do you think that it's Snitsky? I've heard other people say it and I don't see any reasoning whatsoever..other than that it would be the worst possible choice..isn't it all but confirmed that it's either going to remain Kennedy or be Hornswaggle?

Im so glad Im watching football..so glad..

Me too, because I have a sickening feeling that it's going to be that fucking midget.

I need to watch the game anyway because I'm down 10 points in fantasy and I need Todd Heap, The Ravens D, and Graham all to play well tonite.

A couple of people in the ECW thread or somewhere else jumped to the Burke conclusion (the 4-UP wristtape) and made me wish it was him, even though there's really no chance.

If it's who I'm expecting, Coach, it should be an 'interesting' night.

Question, just because I have a couple of friends who constantly need to turn on baseball when we're watching something else and it's annoying as hell..how does whether or not you watch the game have anything to do with whether or not you get the fantasy points? I know you probably just want to see how many you got, but the way you phrased it makes it seem like if you dont watch the game you don't get the points.

I know this has nothing to do with RAW, sorry to get off topic.

From wwe.com:

GREEN BAY, Wisc. – Citing John Cena’s brutal attack on Raw GM William Regal, Acting GM Jonathan Coachman has given the WWE Champion the night off and barred him from Raw tonight in Green Bay, Wisc.

However, as a precaution - and for Cena's own safety - Coachman has a large security presence already lining up at the Resch Center to greet The Champ in case he defies orders and shows up. Will security guards at Raw be prepared for Cena? And if so, will they be able to stop the enraged Champ?

Cena, seething from Randy Orton’s attack on his father the previous week, pounced on Regal last week after he announced that he would face the Legend Killer in a rematch for the WWE Championship at Unforgiven. Regal had given Orton the night off on Raw out of concern for the volatile situation between him and Cena, but the wily Brit wound up suffering the consequences. The Champ pummeled Regal and clamped the STFU on him for several minutes. It took multiple WWE officials to pull Cena off Regal, who is currently at home recuperating from his injuries.

Tune in to Raw tonight at 9/8 CT on USA network to find out if The Champ will make his presence known.

So I guess Cena will drive a zamboni down the ring?

This all feels anti-climactic.

Oh, never mind.
