Its star has faded. I could only listen to it so many times before the hamfistedness of Win Butler's lyrics really started to show, not to mention Regine yelping "YOUR LIIIIIFE, IT FAALLLLLLS APAAAAAART," before I decided I could just listen to the organ intro exclusively and move along. If they took the vocal track out and just looped some of the intro, that'd be a good goal song for the Montreal Canadiens.

I cast my exceptionally weighty vote for "The Harbor Is Yours".

there should be more rapping about pirates.

in that case, I vote T-Pain for Best Everything Ever.

I'm going to have to say "Gimme More". It's Britney, bitch.

Or else Dethklok's "Mermaider".

O plz

You know that Bloodtrocuted and Thunderhorse are both infinitely better songs.

Well I can stand beside

Ideals I think are right

And I can stand beside

The idea to stand and fight

I do believe

There's a dream for everyone

This is our country

There's room enough here

For science to live

And there's room enough here

For religion to forgive

And try to understand

All the people of this land

This is our country

From the east coast

To the west coast

Down the Dixie Highway

Back home

This is our country

That poverty could be

Just another ugly thing

And bigotry would be

Seen only as obscene

And the ones that run this land

Help the poor and common man

This is our country

From the east coast

To the west coast

Down the Dixie Highway

Back home

This is our country

The dream is still alive

Some day it will come true

And this country it belongs

To folks like me and you

So let the voice of freedom

Sing out through this land

This is our country

From the east coast

To the west coast

Down the Dixie Highway

Back home

This is our country

From the east coast

To the west coast

Down the Dixie Highway

Back home

This is our country

Year late on that one.

But, Wikipedia insists the album was released January 23, 2007!?!

Yeah but they first started (over)playing those commercials during the '06 World Series.

I remember this fondly because Mellencamp and Little Big Town were going to perform it before one of the games in Detroit but Mellencamp was like 5-10 minutes late cause he was in the bathroom taking a dump.

Has Justice hit it big yet? I went to an Ed Banger concert in April and no one knew why that was such a big deal. Yet the tickets for when Justice alone came by a month ago sold out pretty fast. I'm curious as to how fast they're rising in popularity on other parts of the continent. They deserve the recognition.

D.A.N.C.E. is one of their weaker tracks though.

They've hit it big enough that "D.A.N.C.E." has filled the floor at the last two cheesy house parties I've been to. I think the album only came out recently in the U.S.

Hahaha, Cam'ron. If his delivery weren't totally awful and flat, I would like that.

how cliched has it become that people need to say that the lead single is the "weakest" track on the album. you're wrong about that, btw.

justice has hit it big enough that they're in spin magazine. how big that is, only you'd know.

It's come to my attention that, besides rap, the only albums released in 2007 that caught my attention were Dethalbum and Blackout.

I am becoming old.

I've actually never heard of Justice, though. Sounds like the kind of thing I'd like.

Ok, just listened to Justice. Yes, I do like it.

It is one of their weaker tracks, I was speaking overall though and not just on that album.

I never knew how catty you could be. I don't really know much about SPIN, but I'm glad you keep on it to tell me. I'll assume that's good, like I said, I'm happy they're gaining success.

If I may be allowed to parrot, All My Friends is the clear winner.

Others I've enjoyed:

Big Business - Grounds For Divorce

St. Vincent - Marry Me

Animal Collective - Chores

Grinderman - No Pussy Blues

The Angels Of Light - Black River Song

Everyone knows Feist "1, 2, 3, 4" is YOUR 2007 Song Of The Year

Um, that's actually a good song. It's not the best of 2007, but it's by NO means a bad song.

maybe for you a bad song, other people don't think so
