CBright7831 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2007 I work right next to an interestate and yesterday morning as I was clocking in, a semi-truck flipped over. I happened to be looking out the window just as it happened. Apparently, there was a cooler in the middle of the interstate and people were swerving around it to avoid hitting it. The truck tried to swerve but drove off the road and went down a huge hill and turned over. I just found out that the truck driver died. Any related stories? Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2007 I've been trying to ride a train when they shut down the whole track because somebody jumped in front of it. Actually, they might have been pushed. Or just fell. I was never totally clear on that. Point is, the train hit somebody. And ruined my plans for the evening. I've seen several dead bodies, but never actually seen someone die. I've always kind of wanted to. Not in a hospital bed, or like, watch some bum freeze to death, that would just depress me, but maybe the old hail of bullets, or see a trainer mauled at the zoo, that'd be ok. I was driving on a stretch of the highway near the I-5 freeway with some friends and I noticed a slow moving car CHP car with a spotlight ahead of us. I passed the CHP car and next thing I know was freshly dead body in the middle of road. I literally had to move out of the way not to hit it. When I was in elementary school, a bum decided to hang himself with soccer nets in the yard several hours before school started. Safe to say we didn't have recess outdoors that day. Not related to me, but a friend of a friend of mine witnessed his buddy killed execution style over a cocaine deal gone bad about a year and a half ago. NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2007 My friend told me he was driving down the road one day and saw a lady getting hit by a car at a low speed, and as she was recovering and starting to stand up, the car veered off the road and hit a tree causing it to fall over and topple the lady back to the ground..... I worked at a car dealership as a detailer and our area was in the back of the lot which was bordered by an interstate highway. So one day I am just getting to work, and turning stuff on, getting stuff ready for the day when I hear a "Scrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech......*wham**bam**bam*bam*" So I walk over to the fence, and see a six car pile-up. The highway was immediately shut down as soon as the Police/Fire Trucks/Ambulences show up......so anyway, I am not even sure if anyone died. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
EricMM 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2007 I remember riding in my dads car at a much younger age and watching a minivan slowly turning right onto a big two or three lane street when all of a sudden WHAM this big ass pickup truck that I didn't see coming just plows into it and causes it to kind of roll down a hill, out of sight. I dunno who had a red light... I don't know if anyone died or not, but it kind of shook me to see something as large as a minivan just tossed around like a toy. It just showed me that when you're near automobiles in motion in any capacity, you're totally depending on a lot of drivers around you to keep you out of harm's way. Kind of frightening. Maztinho 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2007 In Brazil I saw a car rear-end a bus and wind up completely underneath the back of the bus (Think a Geo sized car, so COMPLETELY under the bus). Also in Brazil, I saw the tattered body of a motorcyclist (who was weaving in and out of a traffic jam as Brazilian motorcyclists are wont to do) after he misjudged an angle and clipped a car going at 55 mph and he wasn't wearing a helmet. I wasn't there yet to see this, but at the high school I went to, there is a home for mentally handicapped people across from the football field (off the school grounds, of course). Anyway, one year during a football game, someone from the home apparently went up to the roof, about five stories up, and jumped off during the game, in full view of the crowd. A few seconds later a squirel fell from the tree with my recently thrown rock lodged into its skull. I'm pretty sure I killed it as its leg was twitching when I saw it. bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2007 I once saw a fatality and it WAS like Mortal Kombat. a guy got the other guy dazed... he took exactly two steps back and did a "punch" motion with his hand, and then suddenly his hand went into the other guy's chest and he pulled out the guy's heart.
